You may be ready to leave your job, but there are few things you have to consider before you take this drastic step. No matter what the economy might say, replacing your job with a similar one might seem impossible.
So, this is where the concept of becoming an entrepreneur comes into play. Beginning your own business was once considered to be dangerous. Recently, the world economy has taken a downturn, working for a big organization may now seem to be a more dangerous choice. I believe that beginning your own business is a good move which will lead you to more financial security in the future.

About 9 years ago, an individual decide to migrate from China to the US, graduated from Ohio state and studied Marketing Degree. She began her own Marketing firm working with one of the top Fortune 500 client for 5 years. She did everything. From direct marketing to indirecting marketing, flyers, cold calling, making brochures, door to door sales, business to business sales, managed hundreds of employees. But she had to work 90 hours per week, and this made no work-life balance whatsoever.

After like 5 years of working with the same client, they merged with another top Fortune 500 firm and do not need to outsource their marketing service to her firm anymore. She hit the rock bottom and did not know where to go to. She got two jobs but realized that she is not good at working for another person. After owning an organization for 5 years, paying like $3000 rent per month and also all the overhead cost is not an option. She knew that she was going to start over, but she was trying to work out a way to start it up without an enormous startup cost. She thought about big companies like Amazon, AirBnB, and Uber. She thought that the biggest retail store does not even have any actual store, the biggest rental car company which is Uber does not own a single car, the biggest hotel chain AirBnB does not possess a single hotel, but they flourished. So, she thought why can't she do it too also with the help of technology. She won't pay for any office space, the employees, the utilities and also she won't have to work 90 hours a week because she could literally automate anything and everything on net. No open store or close the store, because the internet runs always.

When she was unemployed for some weeks after she closed her company, she got a hobby refurnishing home decor. She turned an old chandelier into a nice exciting crystal chandelier. She put it online, and it was sold over the night. She paid $10 for the chandelier, and she was able to dispose it for $125. She made a profit of $115 from her first sale, all she did was to take a picture and put it online. She does not have to be there selling her stuff 24/7; the internet can do it for her.

A friend of her was selling her stuff and asked her if she could help her sell it. She did, and she was able to even double her sales. She started to get more referrals then she began selling other people's products, and she became really good at it. Your business from the house will be doing business 24/7 even though you won't be working most of the time. You can also do the same. Depending on the various types of home business that you want to do.
