It was a slight chilly Sunday night and she just got off the phone with her sister...
Rebecca: Nancy do you believe in monsters?
Nancy:No..Why you ask?
Rebecca:Because I was watching this old about the Christmas Eve Murder..
Nancy:Yeah..I heard about it..The detective ask the little girl..does she know who murder her mother..
Rebecca: She said yes
Nancy: She said it was a monster..She said the reason way she wasn't killed was because, the clock struck 1:00
Rebecca:Nancy I think she was telling the truth
Nancy: really Rebecca..You got to be kidding me..Well Rebecca I have to go I want to get some reading in before I go to bed..
Rebecca: Okay Nancy..I'll be coming over tomorrow...
Nancy:okay
Nancy: why did she ask me that... strange..
Nancy went to the living room and sat in her chair and began to read..
As Nancy flip through the pages of one of her favorite books( Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare)....
"Aaron. He that had wit would think that I had none,
To bury so much gold under a tree,
And never after to inherit it.
Let him that thinks of me so abjectly 735
Know that this gold must coin a stratagem,
Which, cunningly effected, will beget
A very excellent piece of villany:
And so repose, sweet gold, for their unrest
[Hides the gold] 740
That have their alms out of the empress' chest.
Tamora. My lovely Aaron, wherefore look'st thou sad,
When every thing doth make a gleeful boast?
The birds chant melody on every bush, 745
The snake lies rolled in the cheerful sun,
The green leaves quiver with the cooling wind
And make a chequer'd shadow on the ground:
Under their sweet shade, Aaron, let us sit,
And, whilst the babbling echo mocks the hounds, 750
Replying shrilly to the well-tuned horns,
As if a double hunt were heard at once,
Let us sit down and mark their yelping noise;
And, after conflict such as was supposed
The wandering prince and Dido once enjoy'd, 755
When with a happy storm they were surprised
And curtain'd with a counsel-keeping cave,
We may, each wreathed in the other's arms,
Our pastimes done, possess a golden slumber;
Whiles hounds and horns and sweet melodious birds 760
Be unto us as is a nurse's song
Of lullaby to bring her babe asleep.
Aaron. Madam, though Venus govern your desires,
Saturn is dominator over mine:
What signifies my deadly-standing eye, 765
My silence and my cloudy melancholy,
My fleece of woolly hair that now uncurls
Even as an adder when she doth unroll
To do some fatal execution?
No, madam, these are no venereal signs: 770
Vengeance is in my heart, death in my hand,
Blood and revenge are hammering in my head.
Hark Tamora, the empress of my soul,
Which never hopes more heaven than rests in thee,
This is the day of doom for Bassianus: 775
His Philomel must lose her tongue to-day,
Thy sons make pillage of her chastity
And wash their hands in Bassianus' blood.
Seest thou this letter? take it up, I pray thee,
And give the king this fatal plotted scroll. 780
Now question me no more; we are espied;
Here comes a parcel of our hopeful booty,
Which dreads not yet their lives' destruction.
Tamora. Ah, my sweet Moor, sweeter to me than life!
Aaron. No more, great empress; Bassianus comes: 785
Be cross with him; and I'll go fetch thy sons
To back thy quarrels, whatsoe'er they be.
[Exit]
Then the clock abruptly struck Midnight..
She says to herself: It's midnight already I didn't notice it..
“Its like I was in a trance..
She looked around and the lights were off..
So she gently put the book on the
table and got up and walked slowly to the window.
As she gazed out the window, she noticed that there were children outside laughing, smiling, playing and singing (Ring Around The Rosey) over and over again
She wandered way are there children out this late at night...
So she looked back at the clock and it was still 12:00..
Because in there neighborhood all the children are sleeping at midnight..
The she saw a strange shadow on wall… It was like someone or something was standing behind her..
She turned around and it was no one there..
She glazed back out the window and the little girls started singing again and the shadow appeared again..
She turns around and there's no one there.
She heard a knock...
So she walks to the door and opens it and there's was no one there..
She wandered what is going on..
As she was closing the door, one of the little girls appeared and places her hand on the door..
So she opened the door and the little girl began to whisper “He's coming for you..
Who coming?
He chose you..
she whispers.
As i stared into her eyes as she began to sing.
Her eyes began to turn black and the shadow appeared again..
So she slammed the door..
She yelled..
Please leave me alone..
The little girl repeats: He wants you,He chose you and He wants you..
She ran to the window and looked out and seen the little girl still standing there..
She blinked and the girl was in front of the window...
She started smiling and began to laugh.
She was afraid..
She looked at the clock on the wall. and it was still Midnight.” She ran toward the front door, trying to turn on the lights in the house. “What is going on ,” she says. The front door opens and noticed in the corner of the living room the reflection of the mirror on the wall..
She seen something awkward in the corner.
She turned around and began to walk forward and quietly reach forward saying who there, who are you..
I seen you in the mirror
gradually walking towards the dark corner..
What do you want?
A creepy figure – tall, slender, bare, hairless with long arms and fingers with aqua blue eyes with sharp eyries..
I want you..He said softly
As it slowly comes out the shadows..
She began to walk back and falls back in the chair, and as the creature moves around the room, and when it appeared it was a blue cat with a long tail like a snake.
I took a deep breath, clasp my hands together, when unexpectedly the creature starts to whistle to what sounded like Ring Around The Rosey as it smiled with its sharp teeth..
What is your name?
I'm Midnight the monster that hunts at midnight..
“please!” Nancy shouts.
With a loud scream, the creature jumps at Nancy..
“Stop!” she yells.
I’m frozen still, Why can't I move..
It's Fear my child he said..
“Help,” She whimpers.
I close my eyes to a beastly grunt.
“No,” she cries.
She sit cowardly in the chair, thinking whatever this creature is please don't hurt me..
" please god help me,” Nancy begs.
Your god can't save you now..
“ God hes going to kill me.”
Please save me.
She murmurs.
She cover my ears.
“I don’t want to die,” she moans.
But then she forced her eyes open to the sound of laughter echoing around her, and with a trembling.
She said he didn't kill me..
Everything went black when the clock struck 1:00..
Later on when the sun rose..Her sister came over to visit. But when she went to knock on the door it just opened..
She yelled:Sis!Sis!Sis! It's me Rebecca..
She heard nothing. So she just walked in and seen blood everywhere. She look down the hallway, and what is left of Nancy a butchered head, severed limbs, and her torn pajamas – are scattered along the bloody floor. She gagged as she heard singing and whistling
(Ring Around The Rosey) as they laughed..
