"Rags / The Golddiggers by Lindsay Cooper" (1991)

in #jazz5 years ago

"Rags / The Golddiggers" (released first in 1981, and second in 1983), is the name of the first two albums by the English composer, musician and political activist, Lindsay Cooper. Cooper became famous and known for participating in emblematic bands of the RIO movement and the canterbury scene, of which we can mention: Henry Cow, Comus, National Health, News from Babel, Hatfield and The North, among others. Lindsay Cooper's musical proposal is part of the modern avant-garde scene, where we can appreciate sounds from the RIO, jazz rock, progressive rock and contemporary classical music ... =)
