Ornamental plants of Chile in South America: Ageratum purple.....
Greetings friends of the Japanese Community, here I show you several photographs of a plant called Ageratum, not more than 30 centimeters high and a lilac, light purple or blue color. This plant is native to America, between Mexico and Peru.
In these photographs we can see their round flowers, bunches that grow from the stem and are of great inflorescence, with many floral pedicels that give the particular beauty to this flower.
In the sequence of photographs we can see the bud blooming where its pedicels leave to become an ornamental flower of great beauty for its attractive colors for visitors to the house and for pollinating insects.
Ageratum tiene una flor extraña pero hermosa @steemito
Ciertamente las flores son hermosas.....
Arigato gozaimasu!
Purple is a very magickal color, we enjoy a semi arid climate during growing season. But our winters here are very harsh, I wonder how well they might fare here as I intend on keeping bats or trying to at least. My studys in this pursuit have suggested that they are drawn to plants of this color, even more so if they bloom at night. Do you know when they bloom?
Either way, these are excellent photos!
Thanks for sharing!
(SMOKE BOMB!)
Hello my friend @offgridninja
This Ageratum plant has a tropical climate, can easily withstand up to 30ºC and winter cold up to 2ºC. Extreme temperatures would damage this plant!
