🏯 🏯 Travel Japan CASTLE Series #1 🏯 🏯 - Nagoya Castle, HERE WE COME!

in #japan β€’ 7 years ago (edited)

Nagoya castle is one of the the top 10 castles in Japan, located in Nagoya city, central Japan.

We visited this castle in Jan 2016 while travelling from Tokyo to the Chugoku region.

The castle is located some 10 minutes away from the city area of Sakae. The surrounding castle town is nice and quiet, unlike other more popular like Himeji and Osaka castle. We enjoyed a nice walk round the town. However we did not enter the castle due to lack of time.

If you visit Nagoya or the Chubu region, make sure to drop by the Nagoya castle.

Hi @jrvacation, thanks for the great pictures again! Are you guys in Japan now or those are taken during previous trips?

Nope not there now. These were all from past trips.

It looks like a peaceful castle farther away from Osaka or Himeji's and definitely worth a visit thanks for the share.

Yup it is. Less touristy compared to Osaka and Himeji.

Wow, beautiful place! I'm really fascinated by the culture of Japan and I would love to visit there someday!! Meanwhile, I will upvote and support your content because I appreciate your effort. Keep steeming, @jrvacation!

Thanks!

Wow it must be so nice to go there!

Yup. Thanks!

Nagoya seems a calmer place compared to big cities like Tokyo and Kyoto where there is basically less nature and more streets. Still I appreciate both kinds of lifestyles, I just need to pass from one to another when I'm tired :D
Thanks for sharing anyway!

Yes its true. Every city is unique and beautiful in its own way.

Of course

Hey! Apparently they're rebuilding Nagoya castle: it used to be made of concrete (a hasty rebuild following WWII) but now they want to rebuild it as it was, with just wood and stone. Have you seen the new version?

Hmm not too sure about that, it looks very concrete to me, LOL.
We visited during January 2016.

Your so beautiful like your photograph... Thank you @jrvacation... :-)

Nice! Did you manage to stay in Nagoya long? Hope you managed to taste some of the famous Unagi dishes while you were there!

Not too long just a day or so. Yup we love unagi!
