I continue putting all my time into Steem, SMTs and Steem apps and believe in building a platform that bridges the world's passions with their success. brixtongg is not my account.
@ned - Would it be fair to say that these transfers are for consultation? Or that they are being made to a consultation company, possibly a new partner of your own?
All we want as investors in Steem, both finacial and time/effort wise, is a clear non-poetic response to why you have been powering down in a mostly down market. Can't you at least create some hype behind your power down? There is green everywhere in crypto but with Steem. It seems investors might be hesitant to buy with our CEO powering down for no real clear reason. Would you recommend for people to buy Steem as your powering down? What is up duder? @ned
I really believe that steemit will allow me to make a very decent complimentary income once it really takes off....I have invest a LOT of time and relativity a lot of money (almost 2 bitcoin in 2016 which was worth almost $40,000 at one point)....I feel SMT's will really cause a lot of demand for steem and I have a feeling you guys are waiting for a nice bull market to attach your waves of good news to to help push steem up high.... I trust you to deliver.... from a little guy... I trust a portion of my future in your hands
@ned can do with his money what he wants...but he is the CEO of STINC in addition to being a token holder.
Needless to say CEO selling off his share of tokens is a signal , to say the least.
Words are words but actions have much more weight .Now I am not saying to hit the panic button and lose all confidence but there is a number where the % sell of by CEO signals low confidence in the project ,
are we there yet ? probably not
does @ned selling his token is very much same as other token holders? it is not.
And if I were you and I would be cashing out now, I would have said exactly the same.
So we are all clueless what you are going to do with $250.000? Yeah I'm talking about real fiat money!
And @brixtongg might not be yours, it is your Steem being transferred to this account!
So it doesn't make any difference whether you first cash out and then pay someone or directly pay them in Steem. In total you have paid+ cashed over $500k.
And that is without the even bigger amounts from @steemit@steemit2 & @steemit3 that have been cashed in the last months. @berniesanders did you also notice the transactions?
In my opinion it would be best to proactively inform us about such large transactions. But even when someone asked a question about it, no answer was given. So why did you try to answer now? Was it a threat for Steemit or yourself?
Downvoted for disagreement of rewards. That's very naughty removing your 'declined payment' from this comment.
On another topic, trending is getting stuffed with really shit posts. The community can't budge them because they are so heavily upvoted by bots. I understand that you don't want to get directly involved but the community has no way of knocking this crap back. Newcomers don't understand the bot process and actually think this is the best Steem has to offer. Can you provide some assurance that this problem is at least on your mind. Thank you.
What kind of business is Steemit INC. where the CEO casually cashes out all of his stake and pacifys its stake holders. Please you owe us dedicated @steemit users an explanation. We are here trying to improve a system that is not living to its full potential. With your power down @ned it leaves people questioning long term steemit viability and stability. You are single handily manipulating the market of Steem by powering down your stake and your other accounts associated directly with Steemit.com. We are trying hard here to improve Steemit. What investor would invest into Steemit with its CEO acting weird and making promises that seem like a dangling carrot anymore... ::cough:: ::cough:: hf20. Please can you bring some ease of mind to the investors of Steemit with a logical if not clear reason why we all shouldn't abondon ship like our Captian seems to be doing?
I've watched so many @Dan's interview and I'm pretty sure that Steem Blockchain based Dapps will be able run on EOS Blockchain very soon and it'll boost STEEM price.
Its like you can download the Facebook app on your Iphone and Android phone. But Facebook just an App.
So in very near future Dlive, Busy, Dtube, Steepshot, Musing, Zappl, etc can run top of EOS as well as STEEM.
Dapps are the future and we'll have Duber (Decentralised Uber) will be built on top of EOS too. Hope it makes some sense to you..
That is very interesting. I could be wrong but I think deepcrypto is a Binance wallet. However, Huobi-pro is a Korean Exchange.
To my understanding american citizens cannot participate of Korean exchanges, even when using VPN. As they require strict controls, id, passport, that kind of deal.
So we could speculate that his trip to Korea is connected to this. Now, does this mean he is funding something? Does this mean he is using a Korean friend to cash out? No idea...
Interesting.. I would think that at these prices dumping that much tokens would be counterintuitive, but then again I've never had the privilege of holding that many, so my biases might not be useful to the analysis.
Of course he won't tell us what's going on. But my curiosity has been spiked.
Nicely written and insightful reply. My curiosity is spiked as well. It's a shame that we can't truly know what's going on. A big part of the draw to blockchain tech, for me, is the transparency involved. I guess it can only go so far.
Perhaps in the near future we will be given more puzzle pieces and we can put them together to make sense of it.
You bring up a good point, the selling of steem atm being "counterproductive" IF that's what he is doing. The fact that it would seem @ned is likely cognizant of the plausible upcoming rise in crypto's value, these transfers are quite likely just a move toward diversification. Would it be better if he simply hoarded his tokens? In my opinion, markets are like the tide, they move back and forth, but the ocean remains. Ned is just moving water to be used and filled elsewhere :)
@meno i am just wondering how true this is. Why would they want people to send Ether if they were planning to give away same?
I don't know Ned so just wondering
I'm not too familiar with this to be honest when it comes to crypto. But as a general concept. A fund manager, is basically a custodian of assets.
It's common in the world of traditional investments, so I'm not surprised these are starting to sprout in crypto. Now, it's important to research the legality of these things, because there is a good chance they require KYC compliance and that to me is a deal breaker.
yes i figured it was something mirroring other asset custodians... but did not understand the -sell "us" and the 3-5 year crypto cycle" -- so cryptic! haha would really be interested in more transparent communication, but then i know so many of us would....and thanks!
Guess Steem is another shitcoin after all. Perhaps we should all follow the leader and dump our Steem? What you say @ned. Oh wait, he will just ignore me because im a minnow
Sometimes you like a guy but then you realize that you don't really know the guy...........
I know that it's his money and all but the bottom line is that this hurts....... to us and potentially at large as well.
If Ned leaves it will be incredible news for Steemit but more importantly the Steem blockchain. Have you not noticed that anything cool built into the Steem blockchain has been created by people not affiliated with STINC?
I completely agree. A credibility rating would be awesome. Maybe you guys can add it to the roadmap with “coming soon>>” just like everything else. . . Wonder how STINC would rank in credibility?
The Steem blockchain is actually one of the best, however it’s success is going to have nothing to do with the efforts of STINC. . .
SMTs are going to be the Oxygen of the crypto world. While everyone seems to be doing OK and having fun huffing proverbial helium — we will need Oxygen to survive.
I'll say it now so that I can say I called it: @ned's taking the money and running. He'll step down as the CEO any day now. He'll wait until he's cashed out before delivering the news, though.
That way, the value of his cashouts doesn't suffer.
I'll jump on and help your conspiracy ;-} Hummm microsoft bought git-hub, maybe there is a secret deal that we have not heard yet and microsoft bought STINC also, or since MS bought git-hub not wanting to be left out of the race, and wanting to regain some relevance for his program the Facebook dude bought STINC, after all he has been hinting around about crypto for his program FB. So on with the thoughts and theories.
It is his money, we can think anything but you have to keep that in mind. I think he would have to be crazy to sell now that the price is low unless he knows that Steem and Steemit are going bust, something I don't think will happen. What I think is that he is taking out some of his money and investing it in some other opportunity, which to me sounds reasonable.
He doesn't have to be transparent with his money, but I do agree that sometimes STINC doesn't update enough and sometimes appears to not worry about issues that happen around here at least on a weekly basis.
What @ned is up to is that he is transferring his steem power to his two other steemit accounts and by that he is going to have two whale accounts. That way he is going to have more control. Steemit has to take look at this.
Obviously, @ned is free to do with his tokens whatever he wants to. It is, however, always better for the community if founders / leaders are transparent about what they have in mind and why they're doing stuff. Just like Charlie Lee publicly announced getting rid of his LTC holdings because of conflict of interest. It also helps the market to not panic when a bigger bunch of tokens hit the market.
Good find - curious about what will be going on in the near future.
How are you? I hope you'll be fine Do you me dollars Exchanger can do it,I've seen in the screenshot That you give a dollar to the dictation,How many dollars can you exchange I have to give my answer , @berniesanders

Don't you think it will be wise of you to edit the part you mention a Nigeria scammer. I don't like you apologizing and not wiping the stains.
Kindly take my country's name out of it.
I guess you guys didn't even bother to read @god post... "For those still wondering what is going on here, SURPRIZE! Yes, I am the creator of DPOS, Dan Larimer, bytemaster, @dan, @dantheman, @dimimp, and of course, @god."
And he names friends like @uche-nna and @deandaniel.... Even the pics and artwork motif&colors point that way...
Tell me otherwise...
This just proved that either your brain was delegated or used to pump a car tire.
I have read that post more times than you might know but my question still remains that among the hundreds of countries in the world, why pick out Nigeria as the country where you presumed the scammer is from?
Abbi this one high nii??
And just so you know @dimimp said he is the owner of @god account, dimimp is also the owner and sponsor of steemjet which @uche-nna and @deandaniel are both a member of.. That is why both their names were mentioned.
Do your research before you classify everyone in a country as scammers.
Well... 3 of the names say on their profile where they are from... If you look down on the posts you find subjects and pics about the same place too... I got nothing against Nigeria, it could have been from anywhere, maybe I'm very wrong, but it makes me wonder why are you getting so worked up....
Because am a Nigerian and you just insulted my country.
Do you know what it means to be called a scammer everywhere we go? And then I come online, on steemit, where I think I will be free from such harsh words only to see your comment.
While @god may not be @dan, its a very old user of steemit as the acc was created in april 2016, back when there were only 3 or so nigerians on the platform .
Calling it a nigerian scammer acc is what i wont tolerate..
Whether or not it belongs to dan isnt important to me, quit your tantrum.
@dimimp resteemed the post, so it might as well be him
OK Sir! I'm sorry! It was what I thought at the moment, had no idea it will create such a stir...
But it make me wonder if I had said it was American... who would had defended it...
I just dont see steem maintaining a price much over 5usd.
Nobody with a sense of the math gives 100usd for 10sp, the numbers dont add up.
Only a fool would pay 100usd for 1sp, at this point.
Sir your post is very beautiful very interesting your all post I love your #post

They might be payment for early investors, salary for new devs or fees for partnerships (as you have suggested).
Or they are hired to sell a big stake without to much noise

Time to grind the 'rumor' mill to a halt...Ned is pulling out some funds to buy me a Lambo, for being such a witty contributor here on steemit.
Cheer up everyone. You might be the next recipient of such a grand reward...
Congrats, you made the #steemitminute for today!

Was that Steem given away for free?
@ned as a Ceo it would be nice if you spread news, is different to a private investor.
Exactly..

A nice series of posts about the voting-bot problem, with an eye to the Steem Blue & White papers.
Did you just downvote him and then ask for a favor?🤦🏻♂️
Yeah, it's kind of ironic isn't it.

I see many post in steemit

Actually, it's happening right in front of our eyes.
I believe it’s a good thing for our community.

I might quote you one of these days, that's a very accurate description.
We are due for a bull run of alts, right after the BTC stops moving for a little bit. It's always a swing.
:)
Might be something related to this:
Oh yeah, that does make a lot of sense. That could be it Acid.
/me takes off his batman costume
@acidyo is that @ned's official twitter account ?
Yes, i've been following it for a while now.
@meno i am just wondering how true this is. Why would they want people to send Ether if they were planning to give away same?
I don't know Ned so just wondering
every single person offering ether is a scammer, do not click on any of it. look at the account names, they are cloned.
but you said this is the official twitter @ned account?
it is muh fren
OMG..i just noticed the subtle difference in the ether giveaway account
At this point in time the safe move is the following:
Nobody is giving away anything on twitter. If someone is doing so, its an impersonation scam account.
well said Meno. thanks for the insight!
also, @meno or @acidyo- does anyone know what "#crypto fund or broker-dealer. " is?
or what this means: "They sell “us” and the 3-5 year crypto cycle."?
I'm not too familiar with this to be honest when it comes to crypto. But as a general concept. A fund manager, is basically a custodian of assets.

I would like to know this brixtongg character really is. He is on my steem.chat channel and asking :
brixtongg 8:00 PM
do you have an account that has been deleted?
He has no reputation but as a newbie and he is filling his wallet.
Is he taking it from others somehow?
I am more concerned at what brixtongg is up to.?????
Guess Steem is another shitcoin after all. Perhaps we should all follow the leader and dump our Steem? What you say @ned. Oh wait, he will just ignore me because im a minnow

That's blatantly false. We need a credibility rating next to reputation.

Glad to hear it! Hopefully our pitching in at least is not in vain. Personally I was thinking SMTs were going to be a big deal. But we shall see!

Freudian slip?
That was giving Rawdawg’s comment some sarcasm.
SMTs are going to be the Oxygen of the crypto world. While everyone seems to be doing OK and having fun huffing proverbial helium — we will need Oxygen to survive.
The SMT Coding Bunker is full all next week. Development is On!

I second this notion.
Why would he not have undelegated in that case to dump it all not just start a power down of ~50%.
To prevent FUD.
Holy poop on a stick, thank you for pointing this out @berniesanders
Powerless we are..........................
Odds of a steem price uptick short term are well ........................................
It is his money, we can think anything but you have to keep that in mind. Blah. Who the fuck cares about ned. Hes just a face, the real development around here doesnt come from him anywayd
Wow ... hopefully this is not what it looks like ... I have to admit that it does not look good. This will scare investors.
A few days ago I searched different users with high account value, and I noticed it too. SAD!
Maybe he's just trying to hit through his hard days..?
Has @ned the control over this accounts?
@steem
@steemit
If yes this would be suck, then he has the control for arround 50 Million steem?
And what happens if this accounts stop to pay for new accounts?
Have no fear, there are plenty of us here.
ok :D

Why sir
THIS IS AN INTERESTING NEWS. WHY PEOPLE DO THAT? t
How is this great?
Ok, if it’s not great news then why? WTF has Ned done for Steemit? Better yet, what has STINC done??? Where are all the great roadmap ideas for 2018? Are you a god damn moron?
This is the Roadmap. I need you to remember.
HF 20 (Resource Credit System); SMTs; SMT Oracles; Scalability
any idea who @god is???
Could it be @dimimp? I believe he’s been around a while...
@dimimp said that he is @god and he is @dan and he is @dantheman and dimimp is the man who has been funding the @steemjet community who uses talents to promote steem
yeah he claims to be @dimimp and also your fellow @dan
do you think @dan cofounder of steemit and eos owns the @god account??
prolly you should speak wit him and hear what he has,to say.🤔
but i think dimimp is stan larimer
dan larimers father
Lol.. Thought you should have also asked "Could it also be @dan"
I know you know who owns the account, So whats your take on @steemjet then?
Yea, @dimimp has done a lot to ensure the global adoption of steem but we are still confused on his identity... A good man with a masked face!
yes @dimimp boss is great
We’re 7 months into the year. . . When are those roadmap “ideas” going to be completed? It’s a simple question.
Can this be taken as a confirmation that SMTs happening in 2018 or at least that is the goal?
Yeah. @ned leaving Steemit may be the best thing for everyone.
??
I thought he probably just had taxes to pay...
Hi,
why would he sell like this?

lol. "a nigerian scammer" doesn't mean that all Nigerians are scammers so i don't see why @ubongj is riled up about it. lol
You had to say that??
he had no idea about the person and just said its a Nigerian. How's that sound to you??
*was dan
A Nigerian scammer?
Seriously?! Why would you think a Nigerian owns that account?
@abbak7..please show some respects for the country Nigeria by not pushing nasty allegations on her publicly!
I take it back! I'm very sorry! I was foolish...
Don't you think it will be wise of you to edit the part you mention a Nigeria scammer. I don't like you apologizing and not wiping the stains.
Kindly take my country's name out of it.
It seems your brain was delegated to you right?
If at all the person who created that account is a scammer, what made you so sure the person is from Nigeria?
There are a lot of good people in Nigeria.
Your nothing but a bloody racist.
Your lucky we don't send slaps on steemit, you would have received enough for you and your generation to come.
I guess you guys didn't even bother to read @god post... "For those still wondering what is going on here, SURPRIZE! Yes, I am the creator of DPOS, Dan Larimer, bytemaster, @dan, @dantheman, @dimimp, and of course, @god."

My comment was not directly at you... you just allowed yourself to feel insulted. That's where no one else has power over, but you.
Have you ever wondered why the post got resteemed by dimimp?
Why would dimimp resteem it if he isn't the owner of @god account??
Then who is @god? Help me out, please...
Abbak7
While @god may not be @dan, its a very old user of steemit as the acc was created in april 2016, back when there were only 3 or so nigerians on the platform .
Calling it a nigerian scammer acc is what i wont tolerate..
Whether or not it belongs to dan isnt important to me, quit your tantrum.
@dimimp resteemed the post, so it might as well be him
OK Sir! I'm sorry! It was what I thought at the moment, had no idea it will create such a stir...
But it make me wonder if I had said it was American... who would had defended it...
And that made you arrive at that dumb conclusion. No wonder you get scammed by Nigerians.
@abbak how does this comment relates to @berniesanders post. It seems you are unrepentant and have no respect for my country.
@god is not ned... it is @dan. Though both of their egos fit the persona...
well not dan anymore
Ohh.. sorry i confused it.. thanks for fillin me in..
It’s neither Ned nor Dan.
Thanks for the acknowledgement and sharing @berniesanders
WTF @ned, does he really want to make to Steemit end and withdraw money for himself?
That was always the goal.
Huobi is Korean exchange?
Maybe he want to buy gift for.. @sweetsss?
Lmao
@berniesanders this is not good .
Why do you guys suppose he's selling it? And is he selling it all? What is the agenda?
:( fugg but at least he selling at 1.5 and not 10 so that just means opportunity for new comers, right😅
Still gonna hodl for 4 more years...
Deepcrypto8 is a Binance address
Good Job. Your work is very well.
Hmm, nice find
Do you remember "We are hiring?"... @ned just hired Cristiano Ronaldo ... he's kind of expensive.
So why is he selling then @berniesanders?
Hope it's not what I'm talking
What was that?
Awesome, I do not understand
And what's that one reason?
What really happened ?
if that's all he does, steemit will sink !

^ Worthless comment.
I agree fud
Now if only we can get everybody with more than 5k mv to divest maybe we could see what grows when not bullied by folks' advantages in the math,...
Not a chance in hell. This is a free market, thankfully.
Lol, a fellas gotta have a dream.
I just dont see steem maintaining a price much over 5usd.
Nobody with a sense of the math gives 100usd for 10sp, the numbers dont add up.
Only a fool would pay 100usd for 1sp, at this point.
Did you see my idea about how to moon the coin?
Id sure be interested in what makes you think it cant fly.
Same idea perhaps a better explanation.
are we missing something here?
OMG!
I think it's ok, @ned is a human and he also need money to survive.
Honestly, when looking at his voting behavior, I think Ned powering down is probably a good thing for the blockchain...
How I wish I could be like you
