Hi hetty-rowan! I really love the picture, and your story really touched me. The parts about your early childhood especially reminded me of my own. I was kinda a geeky kid who wanted to spend every waking hour reading. We also made Sunday visits with the relatives, and while I generally got on with them fairly well, I never was great with crowds. I'm still not. I would always bring a book and sneak into my grandparents basement to get a few moments alone, or find the nearest pet end spend most of my time with him. Nice thing about cats is you can read and pet at the same time.
