Good question..always a possibility, fueled by the evil motives and minds of those in power. Afraid I don't have tangible solutions to offer though.. :(
Yes! we should be always at high guard when something big responsible thing like that, to maintain.
More than hacking, it should be more inspected thoroughly and built well
As far as i know Hackers are with the only personal motive, stealing money/ data, im sure they wont hack to death of millions of people.
Hi digitalplayer,
A hack on power plants like any nefarious act is always something real and possible. It doesn't mean we should turn and run from innovation but we do have to get real about security.
I mean that we cannot run from the power and potential of nuclear power or anything new and innovative simply because there are risks but I do believe we jumped into this one too quickly. For example, we don't even know what to do with the waste yet.
well, my guess is that none of the creators of the nuclear reactors cares about what will happen with the waste ... or what happens if the core melts down.
unfortunately the worst happened... at Fukushima.
do you know that they are planning to release almost 1 million liters of radioactive water... to the ocean?
If you advocate for innovative nuclear power, then I think that comes with a responsibility to advocate for ethical decommissioning of all nuclear plants in the US until we test and deploy safe reactors and an ethical waste handling solution.
it should be afraid of..it's really danger if something happened caused the hacking..people's security will be Threatened..hopefully can solve the problem soon

no, is the answer of the Forbes's article author ... but ... I don't agree. Why do you think the answer should be NO?
