In 1967 Israr Ahmed wrote and published the important philosophical book The Islamic Renaissance: The real task that comes with it, in which he briefly explained the abstract idea of the caliphate system. He professed this violently only by revitalizing the concept and the importance of faith among Muslims in general and the intelligentsia in particular. His solution was to teach the Qur'an in a contemporary language, supported by the highest level of science. Responding to the scientific aspects, Israr Ahmed wrote that this company would eliminate the existing dichotomy between the modern physical and social sciences on the one hand and the revealed Islamic knowledge on the other. He criticized modern democracy and the ruling electoral system and argued that the head of an Islamic state could reject the decisions of the majority of an elected assembly. Although he did not like to receive it in person, Israr Ahmed received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz award in 1981. He has more than 60 books in Urdu on topics related to Islam and Pakistan, nine of which have been translated into English and other. languages. Israr Ahmed died of a heart attack in his home in Lahore in the morning of April 14, 2010 between 3 and 3 pm. According to his son, his health deteriorated around 1.30 pm. with back pain. He was patient at heart for a long time.
