The Indian Premier League 2020 is just a few months away and now the BCCI has just announced the information about when and where the tournament will start.
According to the reports, the league will begin from March 29 and the first match will be played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. While, the final match is scheduled on May 24, but the venue of the final match has not been confirmed.

If we talk about the duration of the tournament, the league will be played for a period of 57 days, which is six days more from the last year and the night matches will begin from 7:30 PM instead of 8:00 PM.
However, the broadcasters (Star Network) have requested the IPL governing council to schedule the matches early, so that they can accumulate some good TRP and also it will be convenient for the fans to reach home early.
In such a situation, it is almost certain that the matches for the upcoming season will start early from 7:30 PM. But, the franchise's owner does not agree with the broadcaster's plan.
