As promised some changes in communication. The goal is to be more available and open towards our community. This will enhance a better cooperation and will manage expectations in a more organic way. The schedule we came up with is to share an informative MyBit-blog every Monday and an update about progress every Friday afternoon (CET).

  • Every Monday a MyBit Blog
  • Every Friday afternoon (CET) a new update on progress
  • Every month a MyBit AMA

Discord has become our new HQ and will replace our Slack channel. Although we love Slack and its functionality, it is time to prepare to scale up. This wasn’t possible in our current account and that is why we choose to migrate to Discord. Our team will be more visible in Discord too. In the mean time lots of community members have found their way already. If you have not.. Join MyBit HQ!. Our Slack will no longer be used after Friday 16/03/18.

On a daily basis people ask us interesting questions. By setting up a monthly AMA we bundle good information into a single channel. This will help us to be more productive and to create more transparency along development. Every AMA will take place at the first Tuesday of the month. All questions can be submitted via our Discord AMA channel before Monday (prior to the AMA).

We took the time to go all the way back to the core essence of MyBit. We brainstormed, discussed and even argued about every tiny aspect of the brand-identity but it was worth it. The only way to get it absolutely right was to start fresh but we are very confident that the end-result will honour our vision to every extend. The new brand identity and our new website are both on schedule and will launch at the start of Q2.

As you know by now, we have moved to our new office in the tiny place of Zug, Switzerland. Cryptovalley labs offers us the fertile ground we need to grow our crypto company to new heights and this hasn’t been unnoticed. The French/German/Swiss television channel ARTE dropped by to do an interview with us. We will share the footage with you guys when we receive it. But hey, we are not done with the media just yet! A big media (umbrella) company came by to do an interview with our CEO,CTO and CMO about the future of MyBit, Automation and IOT. We expect the article to be published somewhere around next week.

We are proud to announce that the ALPHA gets rebranded too. CELESTINE will guide MyBit into the next phase. We have started internal testing and are continously making improvements right now. After we’ve optimised CELESTINE in the first phase, it will become available to a select group of people to focus on UI and UX. This will ensure the application works intuitive and bug free. The third phase is to open it up to the public. At this point, our strategy is to come up with weekly updates to let the application evolve instead of working on bi-monthly updates. It is all about building something that lasts and we need our community for that too.

We’ve signed a new partnership with an interesting company from the Czech Republic. We are very excited to unveal all the details but will wait a bit longer because we have to arrange a cooperative communication strategy around this.
There were some questions about our token and want to clearify this a bit.
Jose our CTO:
”The MyBit Token has two functions within the MyBit platform: it provides users access to the platform, and allows them to stake their MyBit tokens in order to be rewarded for aiding in the security of the platform. By doing the latter, the users protect the integrity and security of the assets funded in the platform and get rewarded 2% of the total amount of money invested into assets. Although asset investment can only be done in Ether, the percentage paid back to the users is based on the amount of MyBit tokens they put in the reward pool, thus making it attractive for users to stake their MyBit tokens and protect the network.”

Closing this first (weekly) announcement. Thank you for being part of the MyBit community! Join us on Discord and if you have any improvements/tips/hints/critique, post it in our #mybit-of-advice channel!

Catch you next time!
