Week 3 - Are there Stupid Questions?

in #ios7 years ago

My Studies continued this week with switching between reading and trying out some new stuff.

While there is not much to tell about the reading part, I was able to do some practical things this weekend. While reading about frameworks, I came to the conclusion to create my future projects as modular as possible.

Since I already dabbled with some GitHub/Medium implementations like a custom DateTimePicker, or a Color-Scheme that takes hex values, I wanted to start there and use this as examples.

I started to make a framework for my custom DatePicker, but quickly found out that this is not going to be easy. Thanks to Stackoverflow however, I was able to overcome the part where I got stuck. I wanted to create the view programmatically and somehow was not able to present it the way I wanted to. Turns out I just did it in the wrong trigger. :S

Having solved this problem, I though this is going to be a cakewalk. Naturally only a few hours later I scratched the whole project… :D Turns out I am not good at designing views.

I will start out all fresh and new next week. This is more work but I always feel better starting from scratch when I dislike what I made. This time I will try to get some inspiration from pinterest first.

This is how far I got (don't laugh I just started out!) :
