Sure they are. Everyone plays computer games, everyone loves them. And they are safe, because in a recession/depression everyone wants to escape into another world. When the whole stock market plummets and it will plummet they will keep their value.
I like especially Blizzard because of my favorite game Starcraft 2. They also have a cash cow Hearthstone, that is so fat, that it is almost not possible to milk it completely.
That is also the reason Microsoft wants to swollow it. Now it is the time to get the shares as long as they are available and sell them for double the price to Microsoft. And if Microsoft doesn't catch Blizzard, you have a gem in your Portfolio.
