This was a great post, I've been a Da Vinci fan since I was a kid, the fact that one man could master so many fields of work is amazing.

I especially love the story of The Mona Lisa, since Leo was so obsessed with optics and chemistry he basically planned painting her in such a way that when you look away from her she sort of grins yet when you do look at her she isn't smiling, its amazing.
