Introduction post!

Hello everyone! My name is Thomas, I'm currently 21, and I live in Italy but am from Australia.

A bit about me:

My favourite hobbies are writing and playing chess, so that's the stuff I'll be posting about usually. I'm a very cheerful person online, but quite reserved in real life. I like music, art, story concepts, history, anything to do with tactical thinking (so espescially board games that don't require luck, which is why chess is my favourite).

Opinions:

·on writing:

In my opinion, I should be able to write every genre. Just like a plumber needs to know every possible aspect about his work and a little something of everyone elses (so electricians, biulders) work (so they can cooperate successfully), a writer should be able to hold his own in every genre so when he gets to his favourite, he can do it well, and everyone will appreciate the work, no matter what their avourite genre is.
Unfortunately, I'm not even close to this skill level. I have a lot of work to do!

·on the world we live in:

I give it a 7/10. It's got a lot of lore, tons of interesting people, and is bigger than we can imagine. It's a shame that I live in a time that cannot explore over 99.999% of it, but I don't mind that much. It's hard to miss what you'll never have after all. For the most part, I'm glad it's not that hard to survive comfortably in most parts of the world. I won't give it anymore points because of the magic system, or lack thereof. No flight, no teleportation, no choice of immortality, nothing. We can't even change appearance, race, gender, etc. without heavy technological influence that doesn't even do that much. Still, that's what videogames are for. Since there is no extra mechanic, we use money as a magic system. With it, we think we can achieve anything. And that isn't very bad in itself, but since we cannot produce money without others generating it somehow, we are forced to interact. That's annoying. Imagine if I made a story were to perform spells, others have to give you mana, so you would have a task to do first. Oh and you still can't fly or have immortality. Or shapeshift. Or pretty much everything that the laws of physics don't allow. So yeah, could be better, but I'm not going to complain, all in all it's good enough to be lived.

·on work:

I'm used to hard jobs like being a plumber or being an electrician where we work for 8-10 hours, so my 'goal' is to find a simple online part-time job, that way I have time for my passions and keeping my hygiene up to standards.

·on music:

I'm kind of a basic bitch here; If it's pop, I'll probably like it no matter what the language is, if it's rap, maybe, and I'm too ignorant to know the other genres. I don't care enough to educate myself because on a scale to 1 to 10, music is barely a 5.

·on love:

I'm straight. Been in a relationship since 2019. Favourite love language is physical touch. I'm confident enough in my masculinity to hug guys.

·on religion:

I'm an atheist. No spirituality what so ever. I absolutely love listening to others religions though, because it's always interesting. I have a "side quest" to visit every cult I can, just to see what they have to say.

·on politics:

I know what school taught me (which is actually a lot since here in italy, they make you study everything that happened since Mesopotamia to Hitler, all around Europe. I know something about Russia and America, but mostly thanks to memes, so not much. Other than that, nothing because my interest in the subject is probably 3/10. Yes, I should be more responsible, but I really have no passion/interest.
