Let me tell you something about me. Photography aficionado, sucker for travelling and food... My name is Alen and I go by the alias @visorus.

I come from a magical country of Croatia. A country full of scenic and diverse landscapes, and interesting people.

That being said, people here were always at the crossroads. Between west and east, history filled with war, desire to prosper and to leave a mark in the world.

While current situation forces us to rethink our values and inner strenght, the unity we show everyday fills me with hope. I hope to experience that same emotion here on Hive.

And trust me, this is new to me! I was always a loner.

Used to travelling alone, I used to roam the cities of Europe on a tight budget, meeting a lot of interesting people, and getting into all sorts of adventures.

For example, I remember one hot, stifling night in Paris, lying down on a warm marble bench in front of the renowned Notre-Dame Cathedral. But seriously, it was 28 degrees Celsius in the middle of night...
After a looong day of exploring scenic boulevards of Paris, i just wanted to take a break and soak up the atmosphere. Needless to say, I was sound asleep in 2,5 minutes...
After maybe 45 minutes of blissful dreaming, I was awoken by a squealing sound. To my horror, two rats size of cats were rummaging my backpack and greedily devouring leftover pieces of my tunafish-mayo sandwich. I managed to snatch my backpack and run as fast as I could... But still, it was an amazing night in even more amazing city of Paris.

It may seem strange writing about tunafish-mayo sandwich and rats in my introduction post, but just wanted to paint a picture of my travels, free spirit and itchy feet that drive me.

Hopefully, this blog will help me share my emotions, aspirations, insecurities and moments of captured beauty, love and inspiration with all of you.
