“Dripping water pierces a stone; a saw made of rope cuts through wood.”

I live by this Chinese proverb. I believe that through patience and persistence we can overcome any difficulties. What got me through anything in life, from finishing my chemical engineering degree to being a practicing licensed engineer was because of my patience and hardwork. Sometimes I felt like about to give up because of the pressure around me but, I always think that pressure is force per unit area and not a reason to give up (haha!).

Anyway, let me properly introduce myself. I am Sophia. I used to work as an engineer in a biofuel company but now, I’m currently looking for a job. Well, as I’ve mentioned, I studied chemical engineering in college. I love science. I am always interested in science. I like to solve math problems. It became like a hobby to me when all your life you are only focused on studying math and sciences. I was part of a program of department of science and technology in high school. This program entails that all through our high school life we are only going to focus on developing our aptitude in math and science. Why? Because there are only few scientists, engineers and doctors here in our country. So to increase the graduates in sciences thus, the program was born. It did work out for me though. I know that a lot of people would kill their selves if they encounter math or science in school but, believe it or not I was once just like these people. It scares the hell out of me during exams but, you have to face your fears, right?
Aside from math and sciences, I also like writing and reading a lot. I used to be a contributor for our engineering school paper in college. I wrote stuff related to sports and history. I did not feel liking writing that stuff so I quit after a year. Haha! I have this attitude that I just try everything and after awhile I don’t feel like doing it anymore. Take for example, my first job. Tried working for a year and quit. But there’s a deep reason though why I did not stay on my first job.
I am the laziest person you will ever meet. I can sit and sleep all day. That’s like my special talent. Plus, there’s an advantage for being lazy. You can finish everything your doing in one snap because you tend to think of ways you can do your work fast and efficient. Lol. Sorry, if I am trying to defend my laziness.
Uhmm..what else can I write about myself? Well, I’d probably just give an advice regarding life. We all have our own perfect timing. If something you want doesn’t happen, just be patient. Opportunities will soon come in your own perfect time. Don’t quit just yet. Stay calm and pray for God will always provide.

God bless and Merry Christmas steemers!
