Let me introduce myself

I am a 53 year old Albertan who has just discovered Steemit through Luke Rudkowski from We Are Change and Jeff Berwick from The Dollar Vigilante. I was on Shitbook, oops I mean Facebook for a while but I got tired of hearing stories about censorship and reading the whinings of just about everyone on that site. Get a life!!

I am a native Canadian and I believe that Canada is a great country but will soon be a mess both economically and politically like just about every other country in the world. I am hopeful that this site will put the globalists and shills of the globalists like Facebook and Youtube out of business because they won't be able to censor the truth or freedom of expression that we are supposed to be guarenteed under the Canadian Charter of Rights .

I am a small business owner and I am not making wads of money yet but I am enjoying every minute of it and I am going to keep plugging away at it. I will succeed or go bankrupt trying.

One thing that I hate the most about internet and social media is abbreviations. I only use the word hate because I can't think of a stronger word right now. When someone uses abbreviations in an email or message to me, not only do I get pissed off because I don't understand what it is they are tying to say most of the time but I wonder if the person is either illiterate and doesn't know how to spell or is just too fat and lazy to press the keys. Like TY for thank you. Do you not know how to spell the word?

I hope you will upvote this post because I would appreciate it very much. TY for reading:)

Nice intro. You could probably afford to do another one with introduceyourself as a tag. I have some tutorials on my blog that you could use to help with formatting.

I had never heard of Jeff Berwick before he landed on steemit but I'm enjoying him!

Glad you liked my post about what happened his recent posts and welcome to the community :)

I will check it out, thank you. I'm trying to figure out how to get pictures on my posts

You have to link the way you would link a video. Which means first uploading the image onto a page from which you can copy the image url.

I use imgur but there's also this one somebody made for the site. I don't know if it works

My video tutorial shows how it works

Hey there,
I'm new as well here, but I heard if you use the tag 'introduceyourself' on this kind of post you would increase your chances even more for upvotes as it would be the most popular tag for it.
Cheers.

Thanks, I did use the tag introduction.

The introduceyourself tag as opposed to introduction is where some of the whales and many dolphins hang out to welcome newbies with an upvote.

I will redo my intro with the proper tag and put the picture of my mug on it. I have a lot of reading to do to figure out this site

Welcome to #steemit ! What small business do you have if you dont mind me asking. What other steemians (friend) are trying to tell you is that You tagged #introduction vs (versus :)) #introduceyourself to get more exposure. Good luck and enjoy this wonderful community.
