My friends have been talking to me about Steemit for a while, they seemed properly hooked! Took me a while to get my head around it as it is pretty different to all the other social media and online communities I have been familiar with. And it is pretty wonderful!
My name is Djanan Turan. I sing, I write, record and release songs. I was born and brought up in Turkey but moved to London 16 years ago. However after years of being a North London person, lately I have moved to South London and literally feels like I moved to another city :))
If anyone is interested in knowing a bit about a musician's life, London music scene, etc, I am happy to share stories and tips.
Obviously my main passion is music but apart from that I love swimming, I lovvveee and almost actually cant help daydreaming. Any daydreamers out there?
I love nature! just basically being barefoot in nature.
I love hanging out with my friends, mainly at home, cooking. watching films. Our work involves a lot of time at bars, clubs, festivals, so outside all that I love home time.
One thing I regret all the time for not doing enough is reading. I am now determined to do more of it. So any bloggers out there, into reading and writing about books, I will be very into that.

Welcome to Steemit -- a few months late!!! Due to a lot going on in my own life vying for my attention, I haven't been here as much as I'd like to be and hope to be in the near future.
I've discovered you in a roundabout way by first dropping by to see how my goddaughter (@tecnosgirl) was doing. I found out that she had managed to get all of her kids (2 daughters and a son) joined up. When I went to check out her older daughter (@themunchiemac), I found my goddaughter responding to an interesting comment by @marcelli. When I went to check out @marcelli, I found you -- and it looks as if you're doing a great job!!! It's fun traveling around the Steemit neighborhood and seeing who's a part of it. Keep up the great work. I'm across the pond and living in my hometown of Anderson, Indiana. I became a fan of music from over your way when I learned about The Beatles. The year was 1964, just right around this time, and I had just turned 11 years old. I'm now 65. Hard to believe that it has been almost 54 years since Ed Sullivan introduced them one Sunday night in February...
