Greetings, I am carltong and am happy to meet you. First and foremost, I need to thank @jerrybanfield for his free helpful course on Steeming. I learned more in a few days, than I would have on my own for weeks.
I am very excited about the whole Steem universe, e.g. the ability to meet new like minded people, the ability to approve and share the brilliant ideas of others, and the ability to perhaps derive some sort of income from the combined activities.
I guess I should mention now that I am special ed, ADHD, GAD, & OCD; this applies two fold. If my post seem awkward, well they are, lol. Secondly, if I can do Steemit, then anybody can.
If if makes you feel better, I had to pay for this account. See, the first account I made at Steemit proper, under the moniker CrltnG; and even though I wrote the password down 3 times (and 2 of them were the same); I couldn't access that account and had to purchase a second one. I used AnonSteem which worked excellent and allegedly provides more security. I don’t know a lot about all that, except that AnonSteem is user friendly for the special ed.
That brings me to my moniker, CrltnG; that's the name I have used else where, but due to my special edness, I am now obliged to use carltong...which is probably easier in the first place, lol.
I am an avid computer hobbyist. I have built about a dozen of so computers, most of them running a Linux of some sort. Years ago, I did a few youtube videos on operating systems; there links are here (these are about 10 years old):
G-Parted)[
Additionally, I’ve written a couple walk thru’s, also years ago, lol. How to install the Belkin F5D7050 & doing jar files with the infamous Sarah Palin. I was fortunate to meet her in person, while I worked for the State of Alaska, and at my local church. She is as genuine in person, as she is in the public eye. A great person to know.
Also, I have written two books, both which are for sale at Barnes & Noble, Totem Bight A Walk Thru which I personally believe is the best book ever written about the totem poles in Totem Bight; and Legend of the Salmarine which is a good tale. These books are available at Barnes and Noble for $.99 and free, respectively.
Educationally speaking, I have an AA in General Education and am working towards a BS in Computer Science. Currently I’m all about digital currency, it’s really fascinating and fun. I own Ripple, Bitcoin, Stellar Lumens, Etheruem. & Steem. Ripple has doubled on me twice, very profitable. Stellar Lumens did nothing but waste my money, lol. I’ve owned a few others too; all since February 2017, before that I had never used any digital currency.
I lost about $800 in BitcoinsBrain I wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone. They clearly stopped paying dozens of minnows on June 5th, 2017. I can access my account, but cannot withdraw nor deposit. I will elaborate further in another post, I’m not going to allow BitcoinsBrain to stain this one.
I have done okay with FexFund which has been straight up so far. But I’m skittish to try any others. $800 is a lot to lose, especially for me, as I am almost entirely reliant upon public assistance due to my various medical issues.
I’m dabbling in some faucets: Bonus Bitcoin which you can do every 15 minutes; however, it does its best to reroute you. I claim, then just close it and reopen it, that way I don’t get hijacked so much. It doesn't pay much, but is easy to do...it is the only one I allow on my phone. Forumcoin.win pays every 5 minutes or so. It seems to work okay, but spawns additional pages regularly; just focus on claiming and you should be okay. Ethereum Faucet is another 5 minute draw faucet; works fine. Bitcoin Faucet TK pays every hour; along with Daily Free Bits who is easy to use but pays a small amount. Free Bitcoin pays hourly, and is probably the easiest to use.
TAKE NOTE All of these have some sort of hook, after all, that’s what they are for. I am fortunate to have worked in Lake Tahoe at the casinos back in the day when it was raining money. I was surprised how many freebies the casinos would give out; and had a friend in marketing tell me that for every $100 in freebies, the return would be about $1000 in customer spending. Remember, all those killer casinos were built with honest people’s losses. If it seems too good to be true, then it isn't true. Address these aforementioned faucets likewise.
Family wise, I am happily married to a Nettikisses; we raised four kids, Jacob, Justin, Trisha, & Lee. I have two other kids, Mychael and Precious. All of these kids are adults today. Additionally, we have five grandchildren: Gabriel, Kaydence, Amyreia, Jacob Thomas, & Victoria. Worth mentioning are my favorite nephew, Elisha, Isaiah (Amyreia’s stepbrother), and Bug (a family friend).
Spiritually, my wife and I are both Christian; I tend to be Independent and/or Baptist in my theology. While my wife is a devout, baptized Jehovah Witness. I help support an orphanage called “House of Joy” in India, which I will elaborate more on in a later post.
I’ve only been into crypto-currency since February 2017, and into the stock market since January 2017. The digital coin has paid off decently, I entered with about $310 dollars and was well on my way into turning that into a thousand, before BitcoinsBrain stole from me. I was left with about $25 dollars of various coin, which I have now turned into about $100 worth.
I entered the stock marked with $1000. Was up to about $2500 when SNAP snapped me...I am currently back up to $800.
Hobbies: I enjoy computing, HAM radio, reading non-fiction. Can’t stand reading fiction, yet I can watch fiction movies all day; go figure. I am an avid bull riding enthusiast...don’t ride myself, but love to watch it all day long. My favorite bulls are Astroid, Bushwacker, and of course Bodacious the greatest ever. It will be well worth your time to watch any youtube videos concerning Bodacious. He was the smart bull who figured out how to keep cowboys from staying on him, he was so excellent they had to retire him. I don’t believe in reincarnation, but if it turns out to be true, I want to come back as BODACIOUS!!!
My earnest desire is to write about digital coin, strong enough to earn an income from it. My first goal is simply to earn enough to pay my monthly bills. I am older and have a hand full of medical issues which prevent me from a regular job. If I can make ends meet, then I’ll see if I can go further.
In closing,I believe with all my heart that people need to help each other. That’s part of why I have chosen to be a part of Steemit. I want success and I want to help others succeed; I also want to create strong relationships that can help each other down life's paths. No matter what you believe and whomever you believe in, life can be scary...but you don’t have to live it alone. We have each other.
And that’s pretty much me...
