My KNP

I live in South Africa , here where we have the most beautiful sunsets.

Right, living in South Africa also means that whatever you think is yours, is actually someone elses too!! 😂😂 They recently stole my laptop including my external hard drive that has all my photos on, hence the reason I have to use an image source and not showing my own photos.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Laugh otherwise you are going to cry or cry because laughing isn’t an option?

Right, to get back on my topic- finally-

Our winter holidays are usually going to the Kruger National Park. Now the KNP is bigger than Whales, accommodating the Big 5 animals.
(Big 5- the 5 most difficult animals to hunt on foot by big game hunters.)

People come from all over the world to visit this magnificent park. You are allowed to drive on your own or make use of the game drive vehicles- which comes at an extra cost of course.

As you drive in the park, people will stop at any of the animals, waiting for the perfect shot.
Professionals or just normal people with cameras, some, more expensive than cars.

Elephants can be seen all over the park, some you might want to stay away from and others who are just minding their own business.
Still a magnificent animal, thinking they have to carry 22 months before giving birth. Just think how you would feel?!?!

The Rhinoceres, white and black,
White - it was actually supposed to be wide lip rhino but people started saying white, therefor the reason then for the black rhino’s name too.

They are endangered species as they are poached for their horns. You don’t see them too often in the park, but if you do, do not tag a location for them!!!!

The buffalo, the animal that looks like a cow, sounds like a cow, but is part of the big 5. Stories about them says that if hunted, they will lead the hunter into a trap, where the hunted then becomes the hunter.
There are lots of them in the park, they can be seen in groups of 200-300.
Sometimes you will drive and see only 1-2 in a group, they are called the dagga-boys. Old and in some case very dangerous.

The Lion- king of the jungle- known to be very dangerous- obviously- have you seen their paws? One scratch of that and you are gone!
Takes beautiful pictures and one of the reasons going to the park. Most visitors go just to say that they found the lion, whether they’ve seen it through binoculars or next to the road.

Last and certainly not the least, the Leopard.
The most shy, and certainly the most dangerous of them all.
When I die, I tell my kids I want to become a leopard. They mind their own business, never seen, never heard, doing just what they have to to survive.

Beautiful photographs can be taken of this magnificent animal.

I am already planning my KNP holiday, I have to make new memories, take new photos and try to see the big 5.

Enjoy your day
