hello steemit community today is a very special  day for me because after 6 months here on steemit I have reached my first milestone of 300 followers!! Also I want to reintroduce and verify my self because I didn't do it properly when I was a newbie!! I had introduced my self but I had no idea back then that I had to verify myself also!! It took me so long because sometimes life and lazyness kept me away from doing it, also I was thinking how am I going to draw the steemit logo. drawing by hand is very difficult for me.. Hopefully I used my computer screen as stencil and I succeed doing it. :P I think it is never too late to do it so below you will see one picture of mine holding a paper writing my usename, the steemit logo and the date of today!!

I was never been photogenic so I always avoid to be in photographs :P

Some worlds about me!!

My name is Stelios Kalemis (zkalemiss is from my last name) I am 28 years old and I live in a small but very lively town called Rethymno which is in the biggest island of Greece called Crete. When I was 18 years old I studied confectionery art in a private school in athens. Since then I work every summer at hotels around the greek islands!! I like my job very much but I have another one job which I work in the winter. Some years ago a friend proposed me to work at his coffee shop and I discovered a new exciting world of coffee and cocktails. I like both of my jobs and I am very lucky that I have combined my passions with work! I like having fun with my friends and when we go out we drink and dance a lot..What I like at drinking alcohol is that I let myself free and I can express all my real feelings! After some years that I was smoking marijuana I ended up to depart from all my friends and all I was doing was working, smoking and sleeping. Thankfully I gave up smoking marijuana and now I am back to normal having fun with my friends again!! I never liked the social medias like facebook and I used them only for chat. I can't believe that some people spend their precious time in sites like that.. Also I can't believe that nowadays flirt starts with likes!!! :/ But when I joined steemit I have met quality people and started to spend my free time with this wonderful community!! 

The town I live

Rethymno is a small town but it is not a dead town. The population is about 75000 and 35000 of them live in the center of the town. We have a university with 8000 students and in the summer we have a lot of tourist so the town is always full of life with a lot of activities and great nightlife. I know a lot of people who came here for holidays and stay forever!! We have a lot of beachbars, cafeterias, nightclubs and rich landscapes of nature!! I invite you to come whenever you want you wont regret it!!

My Steemit journey

I have joined steemit at January of 2016! I discovered steemit from a youtube video which saying it is a new "facebook" that pays the users to post images ,links and whatever they like! My first posts were plagiarism, copy paste and youtube videos and I hadn't any success at all till one day @cheetah upvoted on of my post. I remember I was feeling so embarrassed that day but I didn't know what to post. I was feeling lost and I couldn't understand the english posts very well..One day it snowed in my town which is very rare and it happend 1 time every 20 years..I uploaded some photosof the snow landscape outside my house and my rewards of this post were 25$. Then I understood that I should post only original contest!! I bought a new mobile phone with better camera and I started posting coffee recipes with video and images and my posts were gaining good rewards..I was very lucky because steem was at 12000 and then it crashed at 6000 for 1 month!! I was gaining 50-80 steem per post and no sbd at all. But the only think I was doing was writting post and I didn't care about followers.. After the @abit experiement I stoped gaining good rewards till now so I was looking what to do.. I was working for hours to write my posts and  noone voted for them! Then @hillarski gave me a great advice to follow Pareto principal..I read one post of him and I started to socialize here and gain more followers..I don't know my rewards will ever be as before but I enjoy the ride.. I welcome new users everyday and I try to avoid them make the same mistake as I did. The 4.5 first month in steemit I had 100 followers and today after @hillarksi's  advice I have gained 200 followers in 1.5 month! I've stopped working for hours to write posts and I make more smaller everyday!! Steemit is a wonderful world with a lot of opportunities, you just have to look around and be patient!!!
