Like most people I came to Steemit for the opportunity to be paid for my intellectual property. So naturally I’ve kept my payouts on the 50%/50% split so I could keep liquidity on my payouts while also gaining influence on the platform. While this seems like a good idea I believe it was the largest mistake I could have made when I started on this platform.
Like most blockchains Steemit is transparent. This means that everyone can see your wallet balance and how you have your funds set. Most people take that into consideration before following someone new. People may also look at your post and only see your auto upvote on it. If they see that your upvote holds value they may use that to determine if following you will benefit them as well. Although those are not the only factors to gain followers. Some people will automatically follow or upvote someone with a higher Reputation or they might base it on the content of your post.
There are several different ways to gain Steem power. You can earn it by posting or commenting on other posts and getting upvoted for your content, you can follow pages @minnowpond @bullionstackers and @followforupvotes and hope that they notice your post and give you one of their powerful upvotes, use hastags like #whalepower and #minnowsupport for more opportunities for powerful upvotes, the last and easiest way to get Steem Power is to buy it with your Bitcoins. There is no right or wrong answer for how to get it but to be successful it’s absolutely necessary to have it.
I’ve sent a small amount of Bitcoin to Steemit to help build my account up a little faster, but I believe there is a better way. First set a goal for yourself, decided how much Steem Power you want so you can work towards that goal. Next leaving good topic related comments on other people’s posts. This is good for building up your Steemit Reputation score and you will earn some Steem from the upvotes on your comments. Then start making high quality post and set your Rewards to Power Up 100%. Doing this on your posts will allocate 100% of your earnings into Steem Power instead of having half moved into Steem or SBD. Lastly only use hashtags related to your topic. Using non-topic related hashtags will cause your posts to get flagged and take away from your Steemit Reputation. If this happens you will most likely lose followers and no one will acknowledge your posts. I firmly believe that if you follow these steps you will see your Steemit profits and followers grow faster than you thought possible.
If you found this helpful feel free to leave an upvote and resteem this post to help other users become more successful using Steemit.
i learned a lot from this post thank you for this information,...im glad i saw it and read it, thank u
You’re very welcome! Most of my posts are more geared towards a comedy and entertainment but I also enjoy trying to help people when I can.
Let's wait and see!
It seems like the best course of action to me. Holding a powerful presence seems to be the best way to catch someone’s eye. But I’m always up for criticism and other suggestions. As a community we can build ourselves up as long as we work together and help one another.
Hello! Thanks, very useful!!! What about resteeming? Is it also a positive step?
Resteeming can help you get curation rewards. I just realized I left that out. Lol That can definitely help you if you do it with good timing. If you feel like the content has good value and the opportunity to gain the attention of the correct people then being one of the first curators could draw in a nice payout.
Thanks a lot have a nice and creative day!!!
Good advice, spamming is pretty annoying and I'm glad you seem to want to give a lot of value to the community. Nice to meet you!
It’s nice to meet you also!
Thank you dude, looking forward to your future content:)
I make a new post nearly everyday. I’m happy this post could help you!
