By the way, does anyone know how you can successfully implement jump to anchor tags in markdown? I.e. when I click on footnote [1], I would like to jump directly to its reference.

Direct footnote command [^1] doesn't work.

For the last 3-4 hours I have tried in countless ways but I think I may be missing something. For your information I have created the anchor with <a name="abcd"> and have tried to jump to it with [link text](#abcd).Any help is appreciated.

    xtester, I've just looked at it. I recommend you request Steemit to look into allowing footnotes.
