Hi Steemit - Denis from Aussie Land

Hi Steemit community. Denis is my name and I am from Sydney, Australia.

I'm new to the blockchain and all things innovative that it can bring to the world and change it, but so glad I found the time to research it and get involved.

I have a background in business intelligence and finance, so definitely see a huge potential in some of the various initiatives, currencies and what the companies behind them are trying to achieve.

I also have a stutter and it used to really affect my personal and professional life quite a bit, to a point where I didn't think I would ever get a job that I really want, even after completing a computer engineering degree and getting really great marks, which scored me a lot of interviews, but due to my stutter, I would freeze and not be able to say what I want to say.

Luckily I found the McGuire Programme.
I have been part of the McGuire Programme for a few years now, a group that runs intensive speech courses and has a huge support group all over the world for people with a stutter. After going to my first course, my speech improved significantly, as the programme teaches techniques to manage your speech, as well as conquering fear and anxiety (on day 3 of 4 days, we all did a public speech in the middle of Sydney in front of hundreds of people).

Now I myself have studied to become a McGuire Programme coach and help other adults and teens with their journey in overcoming their stutter. I have also been in Toastmasters for a while and I love public speaking and training groups of people.

So that's a little a little bit about me. I plan to contribute to this great community with posts and comments to do with what interests me in digital and crypto news, as well as writing about public speaking tips, stuttering, mindfulness and whatever else I feel inspired me.

Looking forward to immerse myself into the steemit community.
