Hey Steemit! I'm Vanessa, nice too meet you..

Hello Steemians! 

My name is Vanessa, I´ve 24 years old and I’m from Portugal, this beautiful little country, just like me (height: 1,50m)! What else can I say about me? … I´m a girly girl, chocolate addicted, tree lover and blue is my favorite color. 

So far I have tried different sports: running, figure skating and acrobatic gymnastic, but nowadays I just practice horse riding once a week.  Oh.. By the way I love animals!  

My job makes me alive 

I am a physiotherapist, so I spend a great part of my day treating people with various pathologies (musculoskeletal, neurologic, cardiovascular, respiratory) and try to manage the pain, restore the movements and give them back functionality. So, I´m really passionate about what I do and how individualized plan of physiotherapy has so many benefits and effectiveness not only in rehabilitation but also in prevention. For me as a heath professional is fundamental to build a relation with my patients, understand your routines and give them an active role in this rehabilitation journey. But the best part of my job is the opportunity of meeting people at all ages and phases of life. Actually I work with people who have cancer or have survived to it and most of them makes me think that life can change from one day to the next. Therefore, in my daily life I try to carpe diem as good as possible, slowing down the rhythm of life and focus on little things.    

This year I want to try different experiences:

• yoga class, climbing a mountain and skydiving (if it´s possible);
• more vegetarian and vegan meals
• art journaling/ learn to sew
• travel a lot
