Hello ... My Name is Tuck

Hi my name is Tuck Fheman (no it isn't) and I've been on Steemit for a little over a month now and loving every minute of it!

Privacy

I'm passionate about privacy and outspoken against the establishment on several blogs I run with others, which should explain my desire to remain anonymous. I don't like to mix business with pleasure. One blog you may or may not be familiar with is TuckFheman.com, which is our playground away from our real jobs and we take turns playing the part of "Tuck Fheman" around the interwebs.

Activities

I've been self-employed since the late 90's and started an online business in 2001 which has been my cash cow ever since. Like most people I hang with, I'm autodidactic and suffer from MDP. I enjoy playing guitar, using Ableton Live to pretend I'm a DeeJay, playing video games, working on my yard, learning new things from people online and mining cryptocurrencies as a hobby among many other activities.

Crypto-Life

In 2012 I heard about Bitcoin and my first reaction was "scam!". It wasn't until 6 months later that it came across my dash again, only this time was different. I had recently been introduced to Voluntarism, after many years of being a statist, and now I approached Bitcoin with a brand new mindset. In February of 2013 I purchased my first batch of BTC at $33. When it reached $120 I bought more and began telling as many friends as would listen about Bitcoin. I bought more in the $400's and cashed out most everything when it went above $900 with the intent of buying back in lower. Luckily that's exactly what happened and I was able to get back in under $250.

Since that time I've dabbled in many other altcoins, the first was Feathercoin which had a great Community, much like what attracted me to BitShares later on in my crypto-life. I've covered most every crypto-Community I've been with on our blog over the years trying to spread the word as much as possible. To date I think it's safe to say we've brought over 7,000 people into the ecosystem. Not all have stuck around, but I believe the vast majority are lifetime crypto-believers.

Social Media

On our blog we promoted the cryptocurrency Qora from it's release and were really into it's social media capabilities. I had no idea Steem was a social media platform and had avoided it upon release initially because I thought it was a joke (that damn 4/1 release!). It wasn't until many weeks later that I learned from a friend I blog with that Steem was all about social media and a website existed. From that day on I've been here on Steemit daily, irritating most of you with my ramblings and trying to help out newcomers as much as I can. Slowly I've been able to convince other online and AFK friends to give Steemit a try. You may even come across Mrs. Fheman sooner or later, but she'll never tell! ;)

I've worked with fuzzy at Beyond Bitcoin and really enjoy what he's doing, especially the Mumble hangouts. Unfortunately I have not been able to attend lately because my sleeping habits are very unpredictable due to working shiftwork when I was a yute. I'm not a big fan of clocks or time in general. I sometimes stay awake for 36+ hours working on a project and sometimes sleep for more than half a day. Starting my own online business was a necessity due to my biological clock issues.

Well, that's more information than you needed to know about me, so put that into your profile and try to figure out who I am AFK if you like.[/conspiracy!] =b

Always Read Tuck...I am hopeless fanboy. Can't wait for that damn follow button.

Please to meet you. About Me - TonySon

You forgot to mention your snake wrangling.

My snake wrangling prowess has already been documented here on Steemit several - times. I didn't want to brag any more about how "outdoorsy" I am. =b

Fun read Tuck!

I've always read your name as "tuck-theman", figuring it was intended to parody "dantheman." TIL.

That's how fuzzy says it on the hangouts. If you want another surprise (just in case it hasn't dawned on you yet, like many others) ... swap the T and F. :)

"On several blogs I run with others"
Out of curiosity, would you describe these "others" as independent, flesh and bone human beings, or more the ethereal type?

"Like most people I hang with, I'm autodidactic and suffer from MDP."
For those who aren't paying attention, simply remove the part about being self-taught:
"Like most people I hang with, I have multiple personalities"

You are a legend, tuck ;)

Out of curiosity, would you describe these "others" as independent, flesh and bone human beings, or more the ethereal type?

Definitely ethereal ... that means stoned out of their minds, right?

For those who aren't paying attention

No one pays attention to me CP.

simply remove the part about being self-taught

No, that's actually unfortunately very true and explains why I'm so f@cking stupid.

"Like most people I hang with, I have multiple personalities"

Don't ever talk to me before coffee! =b
