Hello Steemit!!

Hey everybody! I figured I should start this off by doing a "introduceyourself" post, it seemed like the best way to learn the ropes here!

My name is Derek and I am a first generation Polish immigrant living in the U.S. (If that sounds interesting, I might do some posts about that too!) I love to travel and I love to learn, always challenging my knowledge base and seeking new information. I'm an avid fan of aliens, science, cryptocurrencies, and financial markets. I'm also a college student living in Illinois, but I'm transferring to Arizona State University this fall, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on renewable energy. I'll be creating articles with the notes I take in class as a way to study, help others study, or maybe just broaden your understanding about a particular subject. For the next few weeks, I'll be posting about Chemistry (1214) and Environmental Biology (1110).
