What is going on everyone! I am so happy to be here - this seems like it is a super awesome platform to post really awesome things while making a little bit of money!
I know what you are thinking... "great, another person here filling up this place with nonsense...", and you'd pretty much be on point with your assumption.
Anyway, my name is Dave - I am a professional nerd who works for Dell EMC and I fix really big, really expensive machines. I am also a Marine Combat veteran with many deployments under my belt, so ya know, there's that.
As far as what I want to do with this place... I think I would like to post pictures that I take and sometimes post things that I write... I am not a good writer by any means, but I feel like it is the thought that counts...or the effort... or something like that... haha!
Anyway, here some pictures... it's Star Wars junk - I love Star Wars... probably more than a person should, but I digress! - I used Photoshop and the Nik Collection to fiddle with it.

Hey Joe, Thank you very much! I used a Canon Rebel T3i with a EFS 55-250mm lens.
NICE! I have a T4i and I love mine. My goto is an 18-135 STM lens.
Oh cool, I am still a super novice but I am having a good time with it... I've been trying to do this whole "photogrammetry" thing and failing miserably, hah!
whoa. I just googled "photogrammetry" and it looked pretty complex. I had to run away quickly from the search results. lol
I just tried to reply with the YouTube video below but I removed my comment... lol, anyway, the hardest thing I've run into is taking the right amount of pictures at the correct angles in order for the software to recognize the scene... pain in the butt!

and decided to give it a shot... the hardest part I've found is taking the pictures at the right angles to the software processes the images correctly... pain in the butt! (or, it could be that I am just handicapped, haha!)Wow. That's sick! And what better than the Millennium Falcon!
