Hi everyone,
My name is Tina (not my biological name on paper) and I'm just an ordinary Vietnamese American living in Chicago, IL. I am into Japanese-inspired nerdy things, specifically anime and and video games.
As a young girl, I was introduced to the SNES at an arcade store in Vietnam and my life has changed ever since. Twenty years later, I am a proud owner of many consoles including a PSX-PS4, 360, Wii, and many more. I have recently beaten Tales of Zestiria and I'm currently replaying Final Fantasy X (for the 5th time....) :D
The introduction of Pokemon Go has taken over a part of my life recently... unfortunately. But can you blame me though? I owned Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Diamond, and Stadium 1 and 2 (on the N64) as a kid. The nostalgia is too strong to resist.
My interest in anime can be traced back to Sailor Moon back in the late 90's. Who doesn't love a skimpy-wearing school girl with magical power to save the world? My mom would treat my life everytime I watched anime for too long and claimed that I would grow out of it, but little did she know, she was dead wrong. Nowadays, I enjoy going to anime conventions. I love cosplaying and take every opportunity to do it.
But enough about my hobbies, I also have some smart in me too.... I think??
Due to the fact that I'm Asian, my parents were strict on me (insert Asian joke/stereotype here) so of course I would have a degree in chemistry. I completed my master in chemistry back in 2015 and have worked as a professor and chemist ever since.
However, don't let my academic background fool you. Even though I am not a trained computer scientist or businessman, I am familiar with cryptocurrency and their applications. I have been trading the Behemoth Bitcoin, its current rival, Ethereum, and recently, Steem. I think Steem has great potential and is unique in its own way. Being able to write contents to express myself and getting rewarded for it is a deal I cannot pass.
I think that with my combined knowledge of chemistry, videogames, and cryptocoins, one day I can create a bioengineering company that produces biologically accurate pokemons and you can purchase them with Steem, Bitcoin, Ether... ( I will accept most types of cryptocoins). Finally, my dream to create Mewtwo and world domination will come true :D

Hi, @tinalover32! Welcome to Steemit. I haven't yet figured out the Pokemon phenomenon, but when I need to ask, now I know who to go to.
@tinalover32 Welcome to the community.
What games are you looking forward to this year?
Are you mostly a console gamer or do you also dabble on PC?
I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy 15 this year. It's gonna be released in September :D
I'm a console person, not a huge pc fan.
FF15 looks real good. I've always been a fan of the series. PC = MASTERRACE
@tinalover32 What is your favorite anime? My absolute favorite one of all time is "The Death Note". I can't get over what an amazing concept and story it is. Also, I like: Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Fate Zero, Full Metal Alchemist and Afro Samurai. There are so many great ones out there. Ok, nerd rant over.
Those are some very good selections of animes. It's hard to pick a favorite anime, but I think I'd have to go with Case Close (Detective Conan).
I will check that one out for sure.
PokeGirl :)
keep it flowing!
I just went on a Poke stroll earlier. I beat some gyms along the way.
great introduction! you already got me at japan and snes!
Hahaha, do you have an Asian fetish? Jk
well I have now :D
You should dress as my wife Bulma!
Haha, she's a potential character to cosplay as. It's not too hard to dress like her. I have never tried blue hair though.
I found you on TheDailySteemit. Congrads!
