Hi Everyone!

Welcome

Over the last few years, I developed an interest in investing and macroeconomics. Having searched high and low for this knowledge I realized that most institutions keep the industry secrets close to their chests. After spending thousands of Pounds learning, I came to the realization that capitalism only benefits very few in the society - the so-called 1%.

My aim is to blow the doors open to the average Joe. Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, I want the average man to be able to look behind the curtains and figure out what is actually going on. My aim is to bring the workings of capitalism to the average man who works a 9-5 with no knowledge of how markets, governments and currencies function. This blog is not created to tell you what to buy or sell instead it is created to make you aware of potential opportunities in the financial markets I am simply going out into the world finding out what the big money managers and institutions are doing finding that research and transferring the information to the average Joe. What you do with the knowledge and how you manage your risk is down to you. But be rest assured the research that I will be providing in this blog is research that is thorough and backed by data.

In 2010 there was a weather event called a La Nina. This event occurs when warm air pushes warm water towards the continent of Australia causing cooler water to rise near the Americas. As a result, the Australian continent suffered from periods of heavy rainfall and severe flooding. However due to the low pressure from the cool waters in the Americas, there was a little or no rainfall in places like Texas, the extremely dry conditions decimated corn crops and the price of corn and grains soar. If one was a commodity trader one could have made a rather handsome return by purchasing agriculture-related ETFs / financial instruments around that time.

Currently, Central banks globally are engaging in the programme Quantitative easing (QE) where central banks took the mantle of becoming the net purchasers of bonds this program saw the price of bonds shoot to the moon and as a result has put downward pressure on interest rates. This is why interest rates have been near zero for the better part of a decade and now they are slowly back on the rise as central banks gradually winding down the programme. If this knowledge was made available to the general public, we could have participated in it and gained some financial benefits from these purchases by exposing ourselves to assets that benefited from these extreme purchases by central banks.

There are many opportunities like these in financial markets and my aim is to make the people aware of what's going on. This is the core mission of this blog. It is to give the audience a heads up on what’s happening globally so that we can prepare ourselves for any potential opportunities in markets. THERE IS NO FLUFF OR BULLSHIT, just content on potential opportunities in markets.

If you like the content or have any questions shoot them this way I will do my utmost to answer if I cannot I know where to look to find answers .

My First post will be concerning the Tightening Of Financial conditions in the US look out for it in a few minutes.

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
