My First Week On Steemit!!!

NZ Ruapehu.jpg
Me on my first ever overseas trip last year standing on Mt Ruapehu, NZ. My gf and I traveled in a van for 10 days :)

G'day Steemians!

WoW, my first week on Steemit! Well I'll start with saying 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐲 𝟑𝟗 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠!!
Now to introduce myself :) my name is Benjamin, I'm from Australia and I came to Steemit through my journeys on Youtube learning all there was to know about blockchain. Lover of all things technology and cryptocurrency, especially environmental ones or ones to help our planet and pretty safe to say I stopped youtubing and started Steeming and joined steemit.chat !

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐭 - is really the community spirit! It's like we are all one BIG family and everyone, I mean everyone is so supportive no matter what you blog about or where you come from or what colour you are, you're a Steemian and I love that about this place!! Even though you might think it's the dumbest question someone will help you and then go out of there way to give you some links as well!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐃𝐨 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈'𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐭 - At the moment not working, I've recently moved from the East Coast of Australia. Newcastle to be exact and moved to the West Coast near Perth. So we had all our stuff put into a shipping container and put on a train to come over and we drove over which was freaking amazing to see Australia for the beauty is really has. I'm talking red dirt, wild emu's, huge wedge tail eagles eating (My favourite bird) and the Great Australian Bight. We drove across the Nullabor, so beautiful and stopped at a dried lake that had glass rocks and limestone growing out of the ground from lightning strikes!!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 - It was about the Bitcoin segwit and hard fork it was an opinion post as I care more about technology and advances we can make as humans then the fact we could become a millionaire.
I was super nervous about it haha and the reactions i would get because there was so many posts and topics. I actually felt sick! My gf encouraged me to do it and throw caution to the wind because I've always wanted to be a commentator!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐭 - I'm a huge fan of information and I'm a huge fan comparisons so mainly my writing will be about 2 similar in their field subjects but draw comparisons between them from Steemian information and the information I research from the internet to help and give the best informative comparison for the community to add value and help them with decisions :)

In short to wrap it up I just want to add value and be a productive member and hopefully be a witness one day!

What! you drove from Newcastle to Perth that's insane, how many days did that take?

So glad we're on the steemit journey together!

@alishako sorry for the late reply - Had NO power for 2 and half days :(
It took 3 days to drive to whole way, didn't do as many stops as i'd like but some of the most beautiful places are only accessible through 4wd.
1st leg was Newcastle to Mildura in Vic (a lot like Newcastle with old buildings and places to eat)
2nd leg was Mildura to WA boarder ( Australia actually has the guinness book record for the longest straightest non elevated stretch of road! Insanely fun to drive)
3rd leg I wanted to go to a place called Esperance, which s all the way down the bottom of WA about a 7hr drive from the boarder, it's famous for the pink lake and white sandy beaches better then Newcastle and Sydney butttt decided to go there when we have more time to really enjoy the experience and update my camera. So from boarder of WA to Perth :)

Couldn't have said it better my self!!

Glad to have you back in action :D

I've seen pictures of a pink lake but didn't realise it was in Australia!?!?! O_O I definitely want to go there when I'm back in Australia! (I want to move to Sunshine Coast preferably a house by the beach) but wow that's quite a journey.

Haha why thank you :)! glad to be back and kicking on!
Yeah definitely google it, you would want to spend at least a week there tbh it's just magical!
Sunshine coast is really nice went there on holidays when i was bit younger. Have you been to any other State or territory in Aus?

I've also been to Melbourne because my cousins live there. My family and I used to drive from Sydney to Melbourne often when I was younger to visit them. I think 3 years ago we drove from Sydney to Melbourne, picked up my aunt uncle & cousins and continued driving through Adelaide all the ways to Alice Springs. We ended up seeing Uluru too which was pretty awesome. I think it was a tad too much family time for me :P especially being cooped up in a car for the long drives. Plus we ran out of air-con in the car whist we were going through the outback part for a few hours :P . But glad to have done it at least once.

OMG hahaha hell yes too much family time! That would be getting way up in your personal space hahaa!
Couldn't imagine what that would be like, blistering heat and squishing in with Aunt and Uncle and a couple of cousins, hanging your head out the window for some air haha! That's awesome memories but I have to say :) I can't say I've ever been so lucky :p

Welcome to the amazing world of steemit. Followed. Follow me back 😘

Thanks so much @kassie-vegas! I shall follow you back :)
