RE: I am the first Hypnotherapist now accepting Steem/SBD for my services. Now officially opening my business to steemit!

You should do another post on this as it deserves more attention. Also put the FAQ at the end of it again. My Dad is retired now but he was big into hypnosis and used to use it on his patient's even back in the day when people believed it was all a parlour trick.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. Been really this month but I have some time now. Yes I agree I think I will be making another post now called "What is hypnosis" and I'll add the FAQ at the end there.

Oh wow, that is interesting, what was his practice called or what did he specialize in?

He was a psychiatrist but he used to use hypnosis in practice and teach self hypnosis to his patients.

That is very good, he sounds like a very professional and helpful psychiatrist. It is impressive that he was bold enough to teach and practice hypnosis, especially since it used to bet thought of more as a sham in the past. Self hypnosis is so useful for everyone, it was good that he taught it!

Yes he taught me too when I was a kid to help with my asthma - it didn't terminated the attacks but made it easier for me to stay calm instead of panicking which can makes things worse as you exhaust your respiratory muscles more quickly.

Oh that is good, do you still use it? Are you able to hypnotize yourself? If yes, what trigger or method do you use? Also who taught your father? Glad to hear hypnosis helped you!

Well that makes sense, hypnosis is something that becomes stronger the more it is practiced (for both the therapist and the patient!); It is not an instantaneous miracle cure. Although it can seem like a miracle cure sometimes because of the lack of understanding that certain physical problems are only related to psychosomatic cause.

Not in the same way - as a kid it was more of using my imagination to visualise - in my case Spiderman clearing my airways. Now I use it more for relaxation but I think it is more effective if someone else does it - the social effect I think makes it more powerful.
