RE: The Journey Begins

Hey man, we all fuck up from time to time, life is hard for sure... well, as hard as we make it.. if we wallow in failure, that's what we become. I feel like I am having a similar experience as you, failed business, finances in the trash bin, but like you, have turned to this platform as a way to document and turn things around; as well as exploring and developing different interests.

It's tough, but you have gotten to the point to be frustrated enough with being frustrated that you are finally doing something about it, and that's what matters.

Thanks for being so honest and open, good luck with your journey.. and welcome to @Steemit! 🙂

Hey thanks man. I appreciate you stopping by to comment. That’s insane that we’re in such similar situations. And we both ended up here. :)

It feels good to be working on fixing my mistakes. But the thing I struggle with the most these days is the insane amount of guilt that I feel. My fuck up impacted on so many people in a negative way. Most of all my wife. I honestly don’t know how to deal with that.

I've found in my experiences that most people are more willing to forgive and forget in real life than what we think in our heads.. If they truly care about and love us, they want to see us happy and thriving.. guilt can be a corrosive poison if you let it linger in your system for too long. Make it up to those people by getting back in the saddle and being the best you can be.. or at least being better than before (not all days will be perfect, right?)

Anyone not willing to forgive you after that is, unfortunately, not worth your time or effort.. I have found the steemit community to be helpful. Keep your chin up..
