You can’t learn if you always succeed, but every failure is a gateway to new knowledge
A website for STEM Kids Activities and Child development.
Our goal is to give you ideas for experiments and activities that are easy to make and cheap so everybody can do them. We want to engage you as a parent or a teacher to do these activities with your child because you are their biggest influence!
If you show them that you are interested in STEM, and you enjoy in those activities, they will soon fall in love with science, technology, engineering, and math and that will help them to choose one of those as a future career.
Our Mission
Is to provide parents with ideas on how to stimulate STEM skills development of their children. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are fields of the future! Because how those fields can look intimidating to many people, we are here to show you how they can be fun and engaging. We want to help you to ignite that spark in your child, to fall in love with STEM fields and motivate him to choose that path when he finds himself on the life crossroad.
Our Vision
To be the Go To place for parents, teachers, and people who want some ideas about STEM activities that are cheap, easy to make and fun for Children. We want to promote an interactive way of learning where Children learn by doing and not just watching or listening.
Also, we want to promote STEM field to children from an early age, because STEM is in high demand nowadays and that demand will only grow.
MEMBERS:
Iva (Erceg) Leder
mag. psych.
Founder of the idea for a website and a big lover of technology and everything that has some form of code in it. She has few years of working with children under her belt and thinks it’s important to prepare them for the challenges that the future brings. With her vast database, I mean knowledge, she always strives to find new ways to teach more efficiently and creatively. She sees a great potential in every child and her job is to find the right method to express that potential.
HER MOTTO: Ask ‘How will they learn best?’ not ‘Can they learn?’
SPECIAL SKILL: Won't stop until she learns everything she still doesn't know
Vedran Leder
mag. psych.
He always thought classical learning to be boring and bland. He likes to experiment and to learn by doing. With his childish nature, he always blended with children seamlessly. He finds that games and play are the best way to learn and always tries to include them in his working methods. He is fascinated with every new gadget (toy) and thinks that technology creates many opportunities for engaging and fun learning.
HIS MOTTO: “Don’t tell me how to do it, show me!”
SPECIAL SKILL: Telling jokes that only he understands
Lea Leder
Professional Sleeper
Lea is the newest member of the STEM Little Explorers and she means business! Her main job is a lab rat... We mean QA (Quality assurance) tester and nothing goes out until Lea shows at least mild interest in it. Her demanding nature ensures there will be more quality content and that other members of the team won't have it easy anymore.
HER MOTTO: “If I'm not satisfied, oh boy, you'll know it! And neighbors will know it too!”
SPECIAL SKILL: Many! Specializes in boob sucking, sleeping, and pooping.

A very interesting project. As a father I am always looking for new ways to entertain/educate my daughter. This should prove to be a great source of info. I am a mechanic and have started doing tutorials, so if there is anything you think I could do then please ask and I will gladly make a tutorial for younger viewers. Great post, up-voted and resteemed
Thank you, and I will definitely have your offer in mind. The mechanic is a field that is very interesting and field we know little about :)
Did you publish your tutorials somwhere?
I have done a few basic ones on my @article61 profile and have some on my @team-solutions profile too. I would like to start building a framework around these videos to give them some direction and will be asking for advice when I attend the steemit meet in Birmingham on the 7th April. Hopefully get some good support and I can start the project off properly. My vids are not catered for children at the moment but I have done lots of volunteer work with kids and I think I could narrate an age appropriate video. The timing of an engine is a fascinating thing when it is displayed properly and I am sure kids would be interested. Like I said, let me know if you are interested in working together and if I have your support I will do a tutorial for kids.
That would be great and I wish you all the luck in your project. Yes, we could definitely do some joint project, with your mechanic skills, there are probably a ton of interesting educational projects that will delight Children (and parents alike).
I'm always looking for some interesting ideas (currently a bit on standby since I have a newborn home) but when I come across some idea, I'll be sure to contact you.
Oh congratulations are in order then! Wishing you all the best for your family and their future happiness. Is this your first? I only have 1 child, but it is the best job ever. I will try get hold of an old engine and chop it in half as they look great when exposed like that. It also makes it very easy to describe. Could also do some welding videos as that has a lot to do with mixing gasses and temperature variations. I will discuss this at the Birmingham steemit meet on Saturday and hopefully there will be folk there who can help push this project along. Speak soon and all the best with the new addition :)
Yes, my first and a big joy in life. Although little one still just poops, eats, sleeps and cries :D
Your idea sounds great and I think many can learn a lot of it. Do you have a Youtube channel? If you plan to make a video of it it could be of great value for all of us (and you).
I wish you luck on the meetup and I hope you get support. Unfortunately, Zagreb is far away from Birmingham :/
Haha yes you have 2 or 3 years of wiping bums and walking around with sick on your shoulder. Enjoy, it only happens once.... lol.
I've just done another video although it is not PG as I say a few naughty words. I can certainly tone it down and was meaning to ask you about the age range you are talking about.
