RE: Introducing myself, finding your passion, and who wants to start a Steemit Book Club?

wow, cool to have an established writer on Steemit!
I came into writing professionally in a completely odd way: I was completely broke and applied to every job imaginable. I was hired as a writer even though at the time I thought of myself as a photographer. I've been writing ever since and published my first book, Un-Crap Your Life last year. Writing letters to people has always been my forté though, so my Secret Writer publication is an extension of that passion to connect with people through taboo topics.
I'll be checking out more of your work now! Thank you for a great post.

Amazing, and really enjoy your posts. Uncovering hidden worlds and secret lives is exactly what I enjoy as well. Will check out your book. And your story is perfect - that's the other route through which people find their passion. They start walking down the road they think they should be on, but end up on the road they actually should be on. Looking forward to reading more of your work as well.

My best friend in college was a brilliant writer who introduced me to Charles Bukowski. I fell in love with Bukowski's style. Then later on I got influenced by James Altucher. Combine those together, and add me, and well, that's my style. I love being able to exist in a land made up entirely by me! I'm working on many books, and getting distracted by Steemit! Steemit allows me to be a writer and an artist, so I love Steemit the best. It's a lot like finding a long lost love finally.

Agreed re Steemit, and think you have a "Post Secret"-style book in all your Secret Writer posts. Check out John Fante's "Ask the Dust." It's a book Bukowski found in the LA Public Library when he was a struggling writer and it turned him into the writer he became. One of my favorites.
