Twin sister confirmed! Nice move. May do this myself in time but want to get to 1,000 followers first. Good luck building up your next account.

Hahah I thought your other comment was pretty funny considering this post!
The 1000 follower mark seems like a good milestone to branch out. I just always felt torn because I decided early on that I wanted my main blog to only have pretty long form, quality content - but there are so many other little quick moments that would be fun to share! I just didn’t like the pressure of trying to figure out how to turn it into some longer post.
I think I feel part of this pressure, because I have been fortunate enough to have a few people give me autovotes, and I want them to be happy about how their vote is being spent. At least here, if someone decides to autovote the shinebright account, they know exactly what they’re getting into with shorter content!
Anyway, I’m pretty stoked to just post whatever the hell I want on this page. Haha
Ahhh, this makes total sense now. Great logic re: considering your auto-votes, which is an awesome example to set for others. I can't say many people would be as considerate as you, but that's why you'll win in the long run. It'll obviously keep your votes secure going forward, which is very smart.
I tried posting serious stuff on this account, but it barely got anywhere, so I've transitioned over to shorter comedy stuff since it pays/is more engaging. It just wasn't worth the time. I ultimately want to blog about thrifting and recycling stuff again. Still have the drums in my back pocket too.
Enjoy the fresh start.
I totally get that. Your thrifting and recycling posts were seriously high quality content, but if they make less than a buck or two, it’s not really worth the hours it takes to put together. Besides your shorter/comedy posts seem to be doing really well and getting a lot of engagement! Why not then? It’s a fun way to interact with people here.
I think we are all on a journey to find our little niche in this steemit world. It just takes lots of trial and error to see what works. :-)
