The story of how I build a Anime streaming Desktop App

'This is a story of how i came to develop an anime application.

There are like gazillions of online anime streaming sites both legal and illegal. Sometimes one would work but sooner or later it would turn into a mess with nsfw ads and glutters every which way. Popups would ruin any experience you would want watching the anime. Seriously, its a mess everywhere.
Like, what is this?

or this?

It's so awkward to watch anime online with families.
Enough is enough. Something had to be done.
I thought of developing a desktop application that would get rid of these ads or popups and provide a clean UI to watch anime online.

Meet Supernova(weird name i know, still in beta), a desktop anime I developed in Javascript. Its minimalistic, clean, simple that simply does what you desire, and that is to have a quality experience watching animes.

The interface is simple. It only shows what your would like to see. Namely, Recently Updated Animes, Trending Animes, Popular Animes and some genres you might want to look into. No ads and popups anywhere

Oh, and the whole interface can be toggled between light and dark themes smoothly

Obviously, You can search your favourite anime as well.

Now, time to look what this anime is really all about. This window provides a detailed view of the overall story of the anime along with some details like scores, trailer and genres.

The available episodes are shown as well. Of course you can sort them ascending or descending wise.

Now, time to actually watch the anime. Note that the player only shows one (i repeat, only one) exit-able ad. There are no popups and further ads afterwards whatsoever. Pretty neat if you ask me.
You can watch in three different varieties of quality (1080p, 720p and 480p). You can toggle the theme of the window(light or dark). You can skip to certain episodes as well.

All in all, I think i did a pretty good job developing the app. Although it still is in beta stage and I'm actually a self learning programmer. There are lots of things i would love to add in the app.
Note: The setup file of the app is 45MB.

Let me know if anyone of you want to try the app. I'd love me some feedbacks.
