Spliffboy's intro...and thaughts about STEEMIT

Hello .
As this is my first post i never wanted to dwell into complicated matters in it but, i couldn't stop my self to do so.
and the subject of it is steemit.

i heard for the past couple weeks befor getting into steem many doubts about the viability of this network and that many consider it a ponzi scheme got me troubled so i decided to get into researching the my self and after only a few hours of reasearch the ponzi scheme theory fell down because of some few obvious elements :

1.There is no subscription fee or any kind of starter kit.
2.No promesse or guarantee of a high effortless return upon investment.
3.The total lack of obligatory new subscribers under your refferal.
4.The possibility to withdraw at any moment.

those signs where enough for me to say that steemit was no ponzi scheme.

But why do some people think it is?

after asking a few questions around i noticed that the reason why there was some distrust was the fact that money was created of thin air and that could spark an excess of currency impossible to mop so a devaluation was the only way.

i thaught about it and the answer was yes there was some mony created out of thin air but there is also value in the social media and potential quazi unlimited growth
think about facebook or instagram ... how much money do they make out of peoples content without direct return to the poster
or in the case of youtube a fraction of what the media makes. so there is some real value.

anyways my conclusion is we all came here in the hope that what we say or the impact of it will make us a positive return
but there is no value in what we do if we do not maintain the social media aspect of it alive and growing.

and a last message for the steem devs the subscription time is too long to compete with nowdays social media and to have a healthy growth of the userbase ,i hope you look into it forseeing better days.
