Hellooooo dear Steamians!!

Wow, I did it! It took me a while because I am not technical, so I tried to grab info here and there. Thankfully, this community is really helpful and sharing, so it was enjoyable to try and apply your great tips!

Ok, so who am I, what are my passions and why am I on steemit?

1. Who am I?

My name is Solenne; this is actually my pen name, my real name is Sabine, but I am in the process of writing under the name of Solenne, so I thought I would use that name in here. I am from Brittany in France and I am errr, no, no, I really can’t tell you my age! After all, don’t we say that a woman doesn’t have to reveal her age after a while? Ok, ok, just a hint then! I am between 35 and 50. There, I nearly said it! In this introduction, I am writing in English, however I will write in  both English and French going forward. 

I am used to living and working in English speaking countries and I love it that way. It’s even a bit weird when I am in France. I feel like a guest in my home country, if that makes sense! This year, I have lived in France though; well, in Brittany. Two reasons: I was lucky enough to be made redundant last year. That situation made it possible for me to travel and pause for a second so as to see what I wanted to do with the rest of my life thanks to a redundancy package I was given. I decided to go to the South of Spain and see if I could get a job there. I figured, maybe my languages would help me get something. I did find a job right away as a teacher, except it hardly paid me enough to buy myself food. Good experience, though. After spending two thirds of my package, I thought it was wiser to come to France for a while and see if I could make a living here before traveling again. The minute I was in France, my mother fell on the kitchen floor and couldn’t walk for a few months. Therefore, I took the opportunity to help out here. After all, my goal is to live from the web, so it doesn’t matter where I live right now. If I can help, even better.

Next February though, I am planning on travelling and settling down somewhere. To that end, I visited Portugal, Spain and the South of France during the summer. Ideally, I’d like to live in a place close to an airport, facing the sea where I can speak different languages. I will share with you the pictures I took during my Southern tour!

2. What do I love? And what can I bring to the community?

Right now, I am very fortunate to work on my passions: 

• I  write
• I love expanding my knowledge on numerology
• I devour anything I can on self-development by attending seminars including one in Los Angeles this year, by acquiring tons of programmes. The world of self-development totally fascinates me. 
• I also used to be a Team Leader, a Team Manager and an Analyst in Europe, so I write courses on Leadership. 
• Another passion of mine is food. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on writing long articles on my adoration for chocolate more than once, promise! I have had to lose weight in the past because it was threatening my health, so I like eating healthy as well as long as it has great flavours. 

This is what I intend to talk about: writing, travels, food, leadership, self-development, numerology and positivism overall. 

3. Why have I decided to become a Steemian?

The reasons I wanted to join this community are various: I have become interested in cryptocurrencies with the price rise of bitcoin. I find it fascinated that such technology could disrupt the bank monopoly as we know it. I am even more fascinated by the great minds who were genius enough to develop such technologies. I am curious to see where this goes. 

I also wanted to belong to a community. I find that it’s a great platform to choose the topics we want and share the same to the world. Wow, how brilliant! Also, I think it could really be a fun journey; I saw there were already communities who were meeting up in some cities, SteemFests! Woohoo! 

To me, Social media in a way puts distance between people because everybody interacts behind a screen, but meeting up thanks to a social media, that is also new I believe and I'm up for it!

A quick note on why I thought today was THE day to post my introduction. Well, it's Halloween!!! So, I will remember the day I posted for the first time for sure!

So, this is me in a nutshell. I hope to chat with you and I promise you I will interact and will be active on this platform. I am excited to start this journey!
