Hi Steemishphere!

@coruscate here. I am beyond stoked to be starting up the blog - @shinebright. This new blog will mainly be using short form content to share my daily musings, interests, and sparks of joy. I can’t wait to share more of my photography here as well.

This is really going to fill a gap for me that other social media platforms like Instagram, facebook and twitter provide. I’m excited to use the @shinebright account to engage more regularly with platforms like @zappl and @steepshot in addition to participating in more photography challenges such as the #colorchallenge. I’ll probably post between 1-4 times a day… depending on how interesting my day is. 😊

I chose the name Shine Bright because I want this blog to be FULL of high energy posts that encourage both me and others to appreciate the little moments in life and hopefully feel inspired to be our best selves. Here’s a list of topics you might see me post about!

  • Me with my friends and loved ones
  • My musings, and thought provoking questions
  • Behind the scenes on modeling shoots
  • Nature photography
  • Inspiring quotes, poems or stories
  • Yoga
  • My jewelry designs
  • Fitness and health
  • Shots of my dancing
  • Food photography
  • Lifestyle/Fashion shots
  • Recipes and food tips
  • And soooo much more

You get the idea… it’s going be about whatever is currently tickling my interest. The blog is going to be a raw/unplugged feel where I can let loose a little and share some fun everyday moments without feeling the pressure to turn it into some big long-form blog. When I think about simply sharing little moments, musings and interests – it opens an entirely new creative side that I can share with you guys.

My goal is to keep @coruscate as my home base for full length blog posts, vlogs, and music recording. I am so excited to engage with the platform in this new way and see how it goes. I’ve already posted a couple times and it’s been a lot of fun!

If this kind of high energy blog sounds like something you’d enjoy, please consider following @shinebright.

Love you guys. ❤️✨

I wish you lots of success with this new endeavor @coruscate! I have previously considered having a separate "art blog" but have so far stuck to having just one... mostly for time reasons. Anyways, hope that @shinebright goes where you want it to!

Thanks @denmarkguy. 😊 I’ve been debating doing this for a long time and it definitely feels like the right choice now that I’ve done it! It just feels kind of freeing.

Let me know if you ever end up starting a second blog for your art. I’d love to check that out. Take care my friend!

Twin sister confirmed! Nice move. May do this myself in time but want to get to 1,000 followers first. Good luck building up your next account.

Hahah I thought your other comment was pretty funny considering this post!

The 1000 follower mark seems like a good milestone to branch out. I just always felt torn because I decided early on that I wanted my main blog to only have pretty long form, quality content - but there are so many other little quick moments that would be fun to share! I just didn’t like the pressure of trying to figure out how to turn it into some longer post.

I think I feel part of this pressure, because I have been fortunate enough to have a few people give me autovotes, and I want them to be happy about how their vote is being spent. At least here, if someone decides to autovote the shinebright account, they know exactly what they’re getting into with shorter content!

Anyway, I’m pretty stoked to just post whatever the hell I want on this page. Haha

Ahhh, this makes total sense now. Great logic re: considering your auto-votes, which is an awesome example to set for others. I can't say many people would be as considerate as you, but that's why you'll win in the long run. It'll obviously keep your votes secure going forward, which is very smart.

I tried posting serious stuff on this account, but it barely got anywhere, so I've transitioned over to shorter comedy stuff since it pays/is more engaging. It just wasn't worth the time. I ultimately want to blog about thrifting and recycling stuff again. Still have the drums in my back pocket too.

Enjoy the fresh start.

I totally get that. Your thrifting and recycling posts were seriously high quality content, but if they make less than a buck or two, it’s not really worth the hours it takes to put together. Besides your shorter/comedy posts seem to be doing really well and getting a lot of engagement! Why not then? It’s a fun way to interact with people here.

I think we are all on a journey to find our little niche in this steemit world. It just takes lots of trial and error to see what works. :-)
