Do you recommend a certain area or is it all as beautiful as it looks on TV?

I prefer the area around the Ko Chang group of islands, I find it less touristy and more relaxing. Some days I had the resort to myself including the staff, I went during the rainy season to avoid the crowds. Most people do not travel that way, but for me it was more about the tranquility.
