Hello!

Fresh out of university, all dolled up with a degree and nowhere to go. So here I am.

I was told once that when I'm finished with university, the real world was going to slap me in the face. Hard. And boy, did it ever. At the time this was said to me, I had already been five months out of university, cheek still stinging from the force of my rude awakening. But they hadn't known that.

My country's economic environment is suffering and jobs are hard to come by if you don't have connections that can get you a foot in the door. So there I was, summer internship over and suddenly with so much free time on my hands I didn't know what to do with it. And that's always the dream while you're actually in school isn't it? Gosh, I can't wait to not have homework, and assignments and grades to worry about. I can't wait to be free. And yeah, I'm still eternally grateful my degree is finished, but I'm just not sure where to go now. There are only so many times you can send out applications and receive nothing but silence in return before you start to lose hope and interest.

However, I do know that I can't just keep sitting around waiting for life to throw me some lemons. So this is me, out looking for some.

Since I was a young child, I've always been intrigued by the creative arts. I took drama in primary school because I loved acting. I joined the school choir in primary school because I loved singing. But my main love has always been writing.I read quite a lot and I look at some of my favourite authors and novels and think I want this to be me someday. Unfortunately, I seem to suffer from chronic procrastination and flightiness when it comes to starting a writing project. My excuse has always been I have no time or when I don't have to worry about school anymore. So given that neither of those excuses are still valid, I have finally, finally, finally created a writing project for the fast approaching 2018.

This site was recommended to me by my brother, as a way to use up my free time and be creative while possibly improving my current financial situation. I am very new to this and quite honestly don't fully understand the whole cryptocurrency world but I will be making an effort to learn. Mainly though, I figured I could probably use this website as an outlet for my random musings. I'm testing the Steemit waters with hesitant toes but I am going to try to commit to it.

So here's to the start of a new journey.
