Well greets to all, what an amazing discovery today - this new venue called Steemit. Very cool and so unFacebook. Never was much for social media but this one looks like a keeper.
I am from a small town called Salmon Arm, which is located near Kamloops, BC Not much to do around here, especially after 5 pm, as they say, they roll up the streets after that time. So Steemit looks like a great way to pass some time and meet interesting people.
I am an entrepreneur (struggling start up). My pet project for the moment is texting services but that is all I can say for now as it is still somewhat under wraps. Which leads me to figure if there would be a way to get texted Steemie updates on people we follow, now that would be interesting. Not an app/app but simply a texting protocol. Will have to check that out.
Other things/activities of interest - DIY things, photography, beer, exploring alt anything and counting down the days till spring time as I am allergic to snow.
Looks like it's going to be fun learning the in's and out's of this place, perhaps will start a newbie blog so I can pass on all the good, the bad and the ugly of this all. Anyone who wants to know anything about this part of the world - it's really is Canada's playground here, bigtime tourism, houseboating, camping, lakes, fishing and on and on, drop me a comment and I will dig up an answer for you. We can call it Shuswap Trivia
