Hola Hivers!!!!!!!! Mi nombre es Bartolomé Hernández, nací en Venezuela y tengo 48 años de edad, me les presento aquí, porque desde este momento, conformo parte de este maravilloso ambiente y plataforma que es Hive.

Soy, desde ahora, un nuevo Hiver

Por cierto, como pueden apreciar, mi nombre de usuario es @ptolomeo. Quizás te preguntes de dónde saqué ese nombre? Jajaja, bueno, se me ocurrió porque soy fanático de la historia y la cultura. Ptolomeo fue un gran sabio griego de la antigüedad, que fue un erudito en muchas áreas del conocimiento. En otra ocasión les hablaré más sobre el mismo, pero por hoy, les comento que elegí el nombre de este personaje como nombre de usuario de mi cuenta, para honrarle, por su gran contribución al conocimiento de la humanidad.

En cuanto a mí, les sigo contando, soy Educador, doy clase en un liceo. Pero, lamentablemente, por la crítica situación salarial de mi país, todo se encuentra paralizado en estos momentos, y la mayoría de los docentes de Venezuela nos encontramos en situación de protesta, que el gobierno sigue sin atender.

Pero no estoy aquí hoy para hablarles de la situación política o salarial de mi país, así que continuo hablándoles sobre mí. Me gusta el tenis, el ajedrez, la fotografía, las buenas comidas, las buenas bebidas; me gusta conocer buenos sitios, y me gusta compartir con mis amigos. Tengo una esposa y 3 hijos (de los cuales les hablaré también en otra ocasión). Basta por ahora, con decirles que soy una persona muy familiar.

Además, me gusta leer mucho, ya que aprecio la cultura, el arte, y todo lo hermoso y sublime que hay en la historia de humanidad. Como siento afinidad por tantos temas diferentes, creo que no hablaré de nada fijo en mis posts en Hive, sino que escribiré sobre todo aquello que me pase, que sienta y que me llame la atención en un momento dado.

Sobre mis gustos, y cómo llegué a Hive

Creo que siempre me ha gustado charlar sobre las temáticas que me atraen, y por ello pienso que estar aquí en Hive, me servirá para que, al escribir posts, mi creatividad se desarrolle, y mis conocimientos sobre diversos temas se expandan.

A pesar de los pesares, amo a mi país Venezuela, por ello, es muy probable que en ocasiones, escriba posts hablando de la situación nacional; pero siempre que lo haga, lo haré desde el más estricto respeto, sin fanatismos políticos, ni ideológicos, sino desde la más estricta objetividad y racionalidad.

Les cuento que llegué a Hive a través de un gran amigo que me habló acerca de esta grandiosa plataforma, como un medio para expresar nuestras ideas sin la censura que existe en las grandes redes sociales que todos conocemos. Espero hacer muchas amistades y contactos en esta plataforma y poder ser parte de ella por mucho, pero mucho tiempo.

También espero aprender mucho de todos ustedes, quienes también escriben en esta plataforma, porque estoy seguro de que todo el mundo tiene grandes cosas que contar, y también estoy seguro de que siempre se puede aprender cosas nuevas de todo el mundo, todos los días. Desde ahora, aquí me tienen.

By the way, as you can see, my username is @ptolomeo. You may be wondering where I got that name from? Hahaha, well I came up with it because I'm a fan of history and culture. Ptolemy was a great ancient Greek sage, who was a scholar in many areas of knowledge. On another occasion I will tell you more about it, but for today, I will tell you that I chose the name of this character as the username of my account, to honor him, for his great contribution to the knowledge of humanity.

As for me, I keep telling you, I am an Educator, I teach in a high school. But, unfortunately, due to the critical salary situation in my country, everything is paralyzed at the moment, and most of the teachers in Venezuela are in a protest situation, which the government continues to ignore.

But I'm not here today to talk to you about the political or salary situation in my country, so I continue to talk about myself. I like tennis, chess, photography, good food, good drinks; I like to know good places, and I like to share with friends of mine. I have a wife and 3 children (of which I will also speak to you another time). It's enough for now, to tell you that I am a very familiar person.

In addition, I like to read a lot, since I appreciate culture, art, and everything beautiful and sublime that there is in the history of humanity. Since I feel an affinity for so many different topics, I think that I won't talk about anything fixed in my posts on Hive, but I will write about everything that happens to me, what I feel and what catches my attention at a given moment.

About my tastes, and how I got to Hive

I think that I have always liked to talk about the topics that attract me, and for this reason I think that being here at Hive will help me, when writing posts, to develop my creativity and expand my knowledge on various topics.

Despite the sorrows, I love my country Venezuela, therefore, it is very likely that on occasions, I write posts talking about the national situation; but whenever I do it, I will do it from the strictest respect, without political or ideological fanaticism, but from the strictest objectivity and rationality.

I tell you that I came to Hive through a great friend who told me about this great platform, as a way to express our ideas without the censorship that exists in the big social networks that we all know. I hope to make many friends and contacts on this platform and to be a part of it for a long, long time.

I also hope to learn a lot from all of you who also write on this platform, because I am sure that everyone has great things to tell, and I am also sure that we can always learn new things from everyone, every day. From now on, here I am.
