New to Steemit with a lot to talk about, lets strike up a conversation.

Hi everyone, my name is Sherman. Brand new to Steemit but hope to contribute soon.
So, I am going to give you the elevator speech of who I am and some of what I have done. (sorry in advance if it sounds more like a resume.)

As I said I am Sherman (also known as Policysup) I have had over 20+ years of leadership experience I the field of IT and cybersecurity and 14 of those years working with a cable Internet Service Provider (MSO). I have been involved in building Security, Fraud and Abuse teams that are responsible for ensuring the highest level of protection for information assets, as well as leading and conducting penetration tests and risk assessments.

I have experience in computer repair, coupled with technical support and have taught various computer classes in person and online. I spent nearly a decade serving in the United States Army with the 3rd Rangers and 82nd Airborne Division.

I was also employed in the physical security field as a bouncer, skip tracer and bodyguard and did some Repo work.
I held the elected position of Township Supervisor. (my one and only time being involved in politics, thank you very much.)

I owned and operated a successful retail store for 5 years. (ok, yes a pet shop, but I am a pet lover and have bred or rescued tons of different animals over the years.)

As far as some formal education, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Masters in Business Administration with IT concentration. (Non-formal, well I have done a lot of things good and bad in many places, so education of life is vast I think, lol.)

I have a great wife and family with now two granddaughters (if you care about those things like I do.)

I have a couple of blogs, one on mostly Security and one about being prepared (disasters, everyday emergencies, zombie apocalypse, whatever.)

My most recent physical thing is joining the ACL and other leagues. What is that you say, well it has been called A MEDIEVAL-STYLE MMA.
