Hello HIVE Blog community , this is my first post in which i would like to introduce myself.
My name is Evelin and I'm currently 18 years old. I'm studying at the Secondary Vocational School of IT in Košice. I'm already in my 3rd year and at the edge of a breakdown thinking about my graduation next year, I'm a really shy person with anxiety which is why I don't have many friends, but the ones I have, i treasure the most. My hobbies are listening to music, reading and looking after my pet chickens. I have 5 of them, and even though they look like balloons because I give them a lot of food , i still find them the cutest things.
My childhood wasn't anything much, i grew up in a little village in Slovakia at the borders of Hungary. I struggled a lot with learning Slovak growing up, because even though I went to a Slovak kindergarten and a Slovak elementary school in a nearby village , we all understood and talked in Hungarian. And because of that I was frightened to go to Slovakia's second biggest city to study, to my luck one of my friends actually came with me and we study in the same class and are also roommates.
Košice was a needed change for me, it was totally different from a village, lots of cars, lots of people which I like because I can easily blend in. Since the school is about 60 kilometers from my home, i had to sign up for the dorms, which also wasn't an easy decision, because for me, family is everything, they are all I have in life, the people who truly see me for who I am. To be honest the city is beautiful but I miss the nature.
I think the first week in the dorms was the hardest, it was my first time being away from my family, in a totally different place and I just couldn't wait to go home. But with time I got used to it. And I think because of the distance I came to appreciate my moments with my family all the more.
Another hard decision in my life was to sign up for Erasmus + , again the distance and being in a completely different country which I've never been to before was a hard choice to make. But in the end i signed up and am currently in Vienna on a student exchange program , which will hopefully help me gain work experience and confidence, and also some new skills. Vienna is a beautiful city even if I haven't seen much of it yet, but I'm planning to explore the city in the three weeks we'll be here.
IT has a variety of choices, for example you can get into programming, design , networking,... The choices are endless. But what caught my attention was design which we started in third grade . Till that moment I was contemplating if I chose the right school, but after we started working on editing and building 3d models, I think I made the right choice.
About university, I haven't decided yet , work or university is a hard choice, I think if I would get an appealing job opportunity, i would take it. And If I don't i am still contemplating on going with architecture or design, both sound quite appealing but it's hard for me to choose.
I don't know if I'll continue this blogging or it'll be a one time thing , I'm pretty indecisive as person, so time will see.
Maybe next time,
Evelin.

I think many artistic inclined people are always indecisive. I've been there before, still fighting off some of it. Perhaps, you could tap into your inner intuition to tell you why to choose this option over that option.
Welcome to Hive Evelin :)
