As a Steem neewbie I would like to share with you why I choose to use Steemit

I have been a writer and journalist since I first learned how to write, and I have thought of starting my own blog for many years now. 

When I first learned to use the internet at age 8, I was enthralled by the amount of information and resources made available to me. I rendered countless meaningless word documents, paint randomness, applied for email addresses and messenger services, searched and entered into conversations and debates in chat rooms, I sought out Universities and colleges and applied for information packets, I gave my email address out to everyone who asked for it. Eventually, throughout my teenage years, I became an avid Myspace and Xanga blog user.

Through myspace I created the Open Mind eZine, a creative collaborative art, news, entertainment and community minded expression that came forth to expand the readers visions and relations to the world around them. I featured writing, artwork, poetry, opinion & controversial pieces, and informational articles; All were published by the eZine, me, but many were also contributed from other Myspace users through the Myspace IM.

I began working and spending a lot of time on my computer, either using Myspace, Xanga or playing some online video game. 

I met a guy online and moved to live with him in Toronto, Ontario, Canada...

I started working for friends and friends of friends helping them with their websites, and helping them to build their Myspace account, often to attract more attention to their real life business. I was also working in photography and doing some designing at this time, so I was spending A LOT of time on the computer.

Over time, I began to realize I was becoming very unhealthy, more unhealthy that I had ever been before. My body was tired and overweight, soft from the days of sitting without enough movement and stretching to counterbalance the improper mechanics. I also felt the mental strain the of the electronic energy that pervaded me each time I sat at the computer for long lengths. I was also eating a poor diet based on cycles of addiction and familiarity. 

Unaware at the time, I was being affected heavily by long exposure to electromagnetic radiation and a mental addiction to technology which held me distracted from taking proper care of myself. 

Events spiraled out into a whirlwind of heartbreak turned into personal exploration, friendship, triumph, new beginnings, and then... a loan denial, and with a bitter goodbye I returned back home to Oregon and said goodbye to Toronto. 

Back in the Rogue Valley,

The Trees greeted me as I arrived home.

My pregnant sister and I shared the bond of a home.

Witnessing and Loving on a brand new human Soul entering Earth.

I took classes at Rogue Community College and joined the on campus news team. 

I started going on regular walks and jogging, focusing on eating well, getting enough water and sleep.

I realized the first effects of new health and change entering my body,

I realized that I had the choice every moment to stand up and take care of myself, 

and more than that, I wanted to be strong and fully centered to be able to lend my support to others that needed help.

I realized the Supreme importance of taking True care of Ones body and all it's needs, 

Especially if I ever wished to become a Mother myself.

After leaving Canada, I didn't use computers as much. I experienced more time in Nature, with family and having real life interaction. 

I began a very deep, beautyfull healing process, by opening more and more over time to the Natural Laws and ways of this Earth.

I began to dream more, 

I learned new ways of being within my mind and imagination, as well as in energetic and ethereal realms, 

I learned that I have power and control to shift my reality at any time I choose, and also I felt a lot of opposition to this within myself and through others around me.

At this point, having these realizations, I became very curious...

How could I remain centered and strong in my power?
How could I maintain and endure for so long?
How would I bear it if I slipped out of center, into confusion, into the Doubt?

How would I protect myself from the World's attempts to distract and dismay me? 

How would I escape the harmfull effects of phone towers and computer connections?

I had SO many questions, and no answers at all. 

I  slipped      away ,                         s            l                 o                  w              l                  y        

into an Abyss 

of Peaceful, Silent Wondering

I accepted that I do not, and will not, ever know.

There is an unknowable mystery which shall not be denied. 

There is also a knowable story which cannot be denied, if you accept one sliver of the Grace of Light into your Heart,

You must and have Seen,

The Fabric of woven time and shapes weaving In and Out and Through of Everything.

You must know,

Your body, your mind, your heart, your limbs, are created in the image of Perfection,

Perfect numbers, perfect sounds, perfect timing

You are Perfect, where, when, how, and what ever it is you Are Now

You are Divinely prepared.

I am a writer and easily distracted.

Do you see the jist of what I Am about?

Why DO I now want to use Steemit? Part of me does not want to at all.

Yet, I have been called,

To Share with you the Truth of who We really are

To remind you that you don't need Steemit, 

You don't need this computer screen, 

You don't need this money,

Because I know you are the Ones who already know! 

Who have been where I have been and seen what I have seen ~ 

We are Family.

We are Children of the Stars who have come to Earth 

We have the opportunity, the Gift, 

To merge with her consciousness and assist on her journey.

We Need Earth to stand on and grow food,

We need land that flows with pure, rich Waters,

We need clean Air to breathe and circulate the World,

We need healthy expression of Fire to release and recycle through Seasons,

We need communication and respect of the Ethers to remember and unite opposing aspects. 

There are many things we can devote our time to.

There are so many ways we lend our creative energies into the World,

How will you choose to show up? 

How will you stand up for the needs of your body, this planet and All Life on Earth? 

What messages do you bring to Steemit and how do you spend valuable time contributing to better this World?

These questions I ask you are the same ones I ask to myself!
