Hi! I'm Joe and I'm glad to be here!

My Introduction.
Hi, my name is Joe. I am a few weeks into STEEMIT, and as of now I am enjoying it. I hope to be able to do more posts in the future as I become accustomed to the interface and subjects.
I live in NYC am married and have two wonderful (albeit tough to handle) kids. Seven and four years of age. Here we are on the Mayan coast with the jungle animals!

Tattoodjay introduced me to this site and I want to reach out and say thanks! I probably would not have stumbled upon it on my own.
My passion is song writing. This was the main reason for my initial interest. I loved the idea of the challenges I saw on the site. The Open Mic Songwriters Challenge and the OpenMic, scavenger hunts, etc. What attracted me is the motivational incentive to come up with good material to post. It’s a great outlet and I think truly what will make STEEMIT stand out. Most of the posts I’ve come across I have enjoyed reading.
I am hoping to post a lot of original music as well as my ideas and recipes for cooking yummy eats. Another passion! I enjoy experimenting and trying new methods and ideas – now I have a reason to write them down! Hopefully I can get some of those up for the holidays.
I also love absorbing information of all kinds. Lately I have been into the whole crypto-currency craze, IoT, self-driving cars, the mainstream cannabis movement, alternative energy, etc It’s such an awesome time to be around to experience the beginning of the future. Sometimes I wish I could be like Buck Rodgers and get frozen and woken up in 100 years.
