Some tips:
Go to your settings and fill out some of the information. Some will be displayed on your banner.
Write posts about what you are interested in and/or read posts and comment/vote on them. Your voting power will diminish and take time to replenish.
Follow people that write about what you are interested in as well. Their posts will then be in your feed.

P.S. I visited Italy last year and fell in love with it. Rome was cool with all the history. Firenze (Florence) was so, so beautiful and laid back. Artwork everywhere. The people were awesome! I didn't want to leave.
